PTT Birthday card ;)

The challenge at Party Time Tuesday's this week was to use red, green, and white. I have a little bit of black too, hope that's okay ;)  I used paper weaving on this card as part of a challenge at SnC. I like how it turned out (well, after I figured it out hehe).

I spent most of the day cleaning off/out my scraproom to make way for my new goodies! Can't wait to create this week while I'm off school. Hope everyone had a great holiday! :)

3 in 1 card :)

I made another card tonight for 3 challenges - I used the the color challenge at SnC (brown, beige, green), the sentiment challenge at The Studio (thanks), and the sketch challenge at Card Positioning Systems:

Here's my take:

Suzanne CC#1

I used all cardstock scraps in my stash (yah!). The beige cardstock is embossed with the Victorian Lace cuttlebug folder and inked in brown. Simple, but I like it! And I always need thank you cards this time of year ;)

A holiday photo :)

I'm loving the challenge that The Studio posted on Sunday - just share a photo you've taken this year that puts you in the holiday spirit!

My hubby and I went to a lighted park on Saturday - just beautiful!

Of course, Santa was there! I thought I would take matters into my own hands and ask him myself, for what I really want this year. He said he'll try to work his Christmas magic - it can't hurt right? I can't wait to make a layout of this photo...

While I was uploading these pics - I was on the phone with my friend Michelle. And she was telling me about a website she used to edit her Christmas card pics. I checked it out ~ and oh my, I think she's created a monster.

Love the different effects!!

Which one would you scrapbook? Original or edited?

A Birthday Card Sketch

I loved the sketch that Dianna posted at Party Time Tuesdays!

They are a birthday card challenge blog ;) I finally used my new-to-me notebook punch from EK Success and I love it! Cuts so smooth. The birthday sentiment is from Fancy Pants (I added the 'birth' to qualify for the challenge) and then cardstock from my scraps.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you're having a great week :)

Waiting for Santa "Paws"

The last challenge for 2010 is up at The Paper Variety! We have a photo inspiration for you, that is sure to make you say "awww".

It's tradition every year that he gets his picture taken under the tree - last year it was the reindeer ears (remember that?)
I knew I had to get a picture of Jax in a Santa hat this year!
Lucky for me, I have a very determined husband that helped make it happen :)

I knew I wanted to make a special layout with this photo, so I decided to use this neat sketch by The Scrappiest!

I used my favorite Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas collection. I cut the ornament mat on my cricut!

The little ones..

The challenge this week at The Paper Variety is for the itty bittys!

And you will love this week's prize from NIKKI SIVILS!

I made a scrapbook page (as did ALL of the designers funny enough - check them out!!)
I used this sketch from My Minds Eye, with their prompt "It's a _______ thing!"

My hubby is a computer guy and so is his coworker's son. At age 3, he knows A LOT about computers, technology, and how things work. He was showing ME how to use his dad's new ipad. How cool!

It's definately a "techie" thing! He even puts a pen behind his ear like the other guys hehe. It can't be a techie layout without something techie! I used computer keys for part of my title, recycled from a broken keyboard my hubby had for parts. I'm SURE this is what he intended for it... hehe ;)

 TGIF!!

It's beginning to look a lot like...

... Christmas!! That's my title inspired by holiday song challenges at Scrappin-n-ChattinCrafting with Cristina, and Frosted Designs. And let me tell you, if you love Christmas you NEED Echo Park's Everybody Loves Christmas!!

I used this Let's Scrap sketch for my double page layout.

One of the things that I love about this collection are the adorable stickers and tiny type alphas! They make bringing a layout together so easy. I embellished my tree with gems (and you'll see a sticker and another gem as the "topper"). I matted it on black and popped it up too. Since, after all these are tree decorating pics ;)

The sketch featured 9 squares bridging the 2 pages together. As hard as it was, I cut into several of my 12x12 sheets for the grid look (don't worry I'll end up replacing them! lol), outlined them in black pen and popped up a few ornaments for added interest.

I cut my title with my Storybook cricut cartridge and also outlined them in black pen.

Here are my finished pages!

Merry Christmas! :)

Not All Who Wander Are Lost

Part of planning our anniversary trip to San Francisco was planning the scrapbook pages, too :) I got Basic Grey's Wander collection and a bunch of embellishments as well. It was SO hard not to tear into them until after we got back and had pictures printed. I knew I wanted the word "wander" on one of my layouts.

I found the quote "Not all who wander are lost" and thought it would be a neat title. I created this 2 page layout of our photos traveling from Pennsylvania to San Francisco. The first page is us at the airport getting ready to board the plane.

The second page features an 8x10 collage print of a bunch of photos - us on the plan (me - reading, my hubby - playing with his phone lol), the screen showing our flight was delayed, the inside of the airport, a view from above and then San Francisco airport at night when we landed.

It's a bit busy, but I still love how it turned out.

Thanks for visiting!

Designer Fridays at Precocious Paper!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at my house :)

Jaxon just loves watching us put the tree! It is his favorite place to lay during the holiday season.

I am ahead of the game and have a few of my gifts wrapped too. Can you spy some Precocious Paper flowers?!

It's Designer Fridays at Precocious Paper and I accented two of my gifts with Tessa's beautiful felt and fabric flowers. I bought this tin at Walmart and made it my own by adding a strip of patterned paper, threading water punched border, and a matching embellishment from the Autumn Splendor Bouquet

I used one of the new flowers from the Holiday Tree Bouquet to accent my ornament doodle.  I drew it on a blue cardstock band, where I also stamped a sentiment.  The fun colors really complimented my wrapping paper!

Head over to the Precocious Paper blog and check out what fellow designer Heidi created. Gorgeous projects! Then stop by the shop and treat yourself :)

TGIF!

Cricut Cardz - Mini Card/Tag Challenge ;)

Mary has another fun challenge posted at Cricut Cardz

Make a set (2 or more) of mini cards or tags. Tis the season! :)

I chose to make a set of tags using my favorite cut from Plantin Schoolbook. I cut the ornaments on my cricut too, using Sure Cuts a Lot.

I just love kraft, red, and white together! I'm so pleased with hose these turned out and can't wait to make more.

We put our tree up tonight, so I couldn't resist the opportunity to take a picture of my tags hanging.

Hope to see you join the fun at Cricut Cardz!!
