Birthday Card

Tis the season for birthdays in our families. I made this feminine card using Basic Grey's "Hello Luscious" 6x6 pad and my Flower Shoppe cricut cart. I was inspired by THIS card on Pinterest.

I'm sharing this card at:

Love This Boy

I'm in love with Echo Park's This & That Charming kit. I made another layout, featuring my cousin's son Gabe. I was inspired by Diana's blogaversary sketch.

I fussy cut the primer flashcard from a sheet of patterned paper. Love that stacked chipboard piece "Growing like a weed". So true.. he's gotten so tall!

I loved the triangles in the sketch and used my new square punch to make mine. I had stitched a line through them. Echo Park has the best alphas. Love this mixed title! The little brad in the center of the cardstock sticker has his age :)

Thanks for stopping by today! TGIF! :)

Quick Quotes: Everyday Angel Card

Good morning! It's my turn to share a project on the Quick Quotes blog. Our featured product for April are the color vellum quotes! You can find them HERE in the quick quotes store.

Today, I'm using the "You are an Everyday Angel" color vellum quote from the Dreamscape collection on my card.

I layered the vellum quote on the "Always in our Hearts" shape from the Dreamscape 500 paper.

I hand stitched the edges using purple floss and accented with gold pearls.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration!
Hop over to the Quick Quotes blog to see what the rest of the design team is creating with the vellum quotes :)

Guess Whoo Loves You?

What a wonderful weekend, full of surprises :) Thank you for the birthday wishes on my previous post. Today was all about thank you cards. This is the one I made for my hubby, using the new Scrappy Mom stamps "Owl Occassions" gifted to me by my friend Theresa. Thanks Theresa!

I love them because our school mascot is the owl and it goes great with the cricut cartridge "Hoot N Holler", which I also used on this card:

Isn't he the cutest! I used the Basic Grey "Sweet Threads" 6x6 pad for the patterned papers. The challenge at Scrappy Mom Stamps is to use something on a stick.. lol.

So, I made this little flag using a toothpick and the sentiment stamps. The inside has..

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Tomorrow is Monday already lol :(
Have a great week :)

Hippity Hop!

Good morning everyone and TGIF!!

It's also a big day here --- I turn the big 3-0 today! Ah! Goodbye twenties... :( But I know it will be a fun day at school and weekend (even though I'm a little scared lol!) so no pouting. This is my year right?! :)

I wanted to share another layout I made with the new "Hippity Hop" collection from Imaginisce.

I used flower soft on my bunny to give him added texture. You can check out the AWDML blog for more details on how I created him.

I'm sharing this layout at Lasting Memories for "hopping into spring" :)

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Cricut Cardz - April Showers!

No "April Showers" here! It's been sunny and HOT here in Pennsylvania.. a taste of summer almost. But nonetheless, our challenge this week at Cricut Cardz is "April Showers".. the traditional April weather ;) Create a card using any cartridge that includes rain, umbrellas, etc.

I used my Simply Charmed cart this week:

I thought the grey cloud would make a good 'get well' card with sun peeking out. Which.. I went a *little* stickle crazy on. LOL!

Stop by Cricut Cardz to see what the rest of the design team created and link up your own "April Shower" cards.

I'm also sharing this card at Fantabulous Cricut and Frosted Designs for the same theme :) Have a great day!

U 2 R Amazing :)

Happy Sunday! We have one of my favorite challenges at The Paper Variety this week - scraplift :) That's right! Each of the designers chose another designer's project or tutorial to lift and we're asking you to do the same this week. How has The Paper Variety inspired YOU?

It was a really hard choice to narrow down, but I decided to give Marcia's masculine embellishment tutorial a whirl ;) You can see her original post HERE. Here's my take:

Unlike Marcia, I cheated and used a Maya Road zipper instead of upcycling one.. lol! I added my embellishment to this layout, featuring Echo Park's "This & That Charming" collection:

I based this layout on this month's sketch at Artful Delight.

Head over to The Paper Variety over the next 10 days to see what the rest of the design team was inspired by and show us what we've inspired YOU to make too.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Studio Calico and check out the prize:

Have a great Sunday!!

Hexagon Love

I have a new love. And it has 6 sides lol. Hexagons have been trending for a while in the scrappin' world but this is my first layout using them - and it won't be my last! Inspired by the latest challenge at My Minds Eye:

That's my grandma and I on Easter :)

I used the new MME Miss Caroline "Howdy Doody" ledger paper, with coordinating papers from "Dilly Dally" and "Fiddlesticks" and die cut title from "Dolled Up". I popped up both the heart embellishments and photo.

I'm also sharing this layout at Lasting Memories for including blooms. Thanks for stopping by tonight! :)

Smile! :)

I just *love* my Paper Smooches stamps. My friend, Abby, got me hooked on them! I love the fun images and fonts.

I used the latest Sparks challenge as inspiration:
I used the same colors - my Quick Quotes Powderpuff chalk inks in Blue Hawaiian (light blue), Tahiti (dark blue), and Mango Mai Tai (orange) to repeatedly stamp the "smile" to mimic the text in the photo:

I even used the same chalk inks to paper piece my butterfly image :) The stamps are from the super cute "Giddy Bugs" stamp set.

Hope this lil card made you "smile" today ;)
Thanks for stopping by!

Ruff day?

Oh.. tomorrow is going to be a ruff day for sure! The first school day after spring break. Who will be more tired... me or the first graders? LOL! I decided to make one last card before hitting the sheets. This one for Peachy Keen's sketch challenge:

I used my favorite Happy Go Lucky dog faces, along with papers from MME's Lost and Found Portobello Road. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom Stamps.

Have a great week!!

Chevron Card

Chevrons are so popular right now! I was inspired by the Basic Grey solid cardstock challenge to create my own pattern. Here's the aftermath of my trial and error LOL!

I think it turned out okay though:

Here's the card:

The papers I used are from my favorite BG Hello Luscious 6x6 pad :) I'm also sharing this card at Paper Issues for having a chevron pattern :) Have a great week!

A wedding card :)

Finally some scrappin' time! We have spent the better part of 2 weeks working on our home, inside and out. It's looking GREAT and I can't wait for family to come in Saturday and Sunday for the Easter holiday. But... I've missed sitting at my desk and creating :)

I THIS layout over at Basic Grey and was inspired to take the scraplift challenge. I created a wedding card using patterned paper from "Little Black Dress":

I used the same heart design, popping up the white designed hearts for added interest.

I'm sharing this layout at Paper Issues for their "50 Shades of Grey" link up :) Thanks for stopping by today!
