Don't Say It, Unless You Mean It.

This not a mushy love post about hubby, either. It's another Jax layout. It's starting to go to his head! lol! I used this awesome sketch from Scraptastic (and the criteria for 5 photos). I love grids!

I used the January kit from Artful Delight.

\
Click HERE to order yours! I titled the sketch on an angle and came up with this:

You can click the photo to see it larger and read the journaling :)  I really love how it turned out! I am also sharing it at The Studio for using a letter as my title inspiration.

I want to thank Leeanne again for having me as a guest designer this month.. January flew by!! :) Be sure to stop by Artful Delight and check out the February kit coming soon :)

Have a great weekend!

Classic Quiche!

The latest challenge at Lasting Memories, to use a recipe on your layout, was the perfect inspiration I needed to scrapbook these pictures from our Colorado trip. Dave's sister taught me how to make my first quiche! It was a lot of fun to be with her in the kitchen..

I printed my recipe onto blue cardstock.. and even did some "hybrid" scrapbooking by typing the word classic and leaving space for my Thickers title "quiche". I punched the edge with my EK Success "binding edge" punch. I love how it turned out!

My hubby was sweet to take some pics of me.. rare you will find pics in the scrapbook of just me.. and even MORE rare that I'm in the kitchen LOL !!

I had fun mixing and matching some older things in my stash for this layout.. Doodlebug papers, Jillibean Soup diecuts and Basic Grey buttons :)

I really like how it turned out :)

I also wanted to announce the winner of my 500 followers giveaway!!

3 more cards..

The first card was inspired by a challenge called Makeover Mondays and made my own version using Bo Bunny's "Crush":

The second card was inspired by the "penguin suit" color challenge at CAS-ual Fridays :) This card is definitely clean and simple!

I embossed the Stipple Butterfly stamp (all time favorite way back when I did Stampin' UP!) and fussy cut it to add dimension to this 4x4 square card.

The third card was inspired by the winter scene challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot.

I used some scraps from my Echo Park "Wintertime" collection, a diecut house, and a Paper Smooches sentiment.

Hope you're having a great Saturday!

Bear Hugs!

It's been a very productive day here so far :)
I made the cutest gift card set (if I do say so myself.. lol!)
I used the latest sketch at Card Patterns:

I made my cards 4 1/4" square and used the My Favorite Things "Decorative Doily" die for my circle mat. All papers are from Authentique's Free Bird "Delight" 6x6 pad.

Isn't he so cute?! That adorable bear and "bear hugs" sentiment are from the Paper Smooches set "Chubby Chum Pals". Here is the set of 4 I made:

Welcome Home

Good Saturday morning! It's my day to share my layout on the Artful Delight blog :) I'm so excited to be a guest designer this month. Leeanne's kits are amazing!

I used both the Jillibean Soup "Heartly Bartley" and My Minds Eye "Kraft Funday" papers to make this layout about my hubby and dog .. I couldn't find them anywhere when I got home from work. Turns out they were hanging out in the backyard :)

I inked the chipboard alphas that came with the kit with my burgundy inks. It's fun to coordinate them with any layout!

Be sure to stop by Artful Delight blog to see what the rest of the designers are creating with the January layout and card kits : ) and pick one up for yourself!

I'm also entering this layout at Simon Says Stamp for anything but a card.

Snowtober!

I love playing along with the challenges at Imaginisce, but when I saw this photo inspiration.. winter wonderland:

I was a little bummed. I'm all out of their holiday/winter collections. And then, I remembered that we had a very STRANGE snowstorm in October last year. We actually got snowed in out of town! It was dangerous because the heavy snow on top of trees still full of leaves, caused many down trees and wires. But -- most importantly for a scrapbooker, I got some amazing pics! lol!

I decided to use the "Happy Harvest" line with the "Winter Wonderland" theme.. unexpected, right? :) I love it !!

The weather forecasters called the event "Snowtober", so that's where the title comes from. I just love this little fox. I popped him up on foam tape and added a ribbon scarf :)

TGIF !! Thanks for stopping by today :)

Happy Brrrthday!

I need to replenish my birthday card stash - and was inspired by the latest challenge at Birthday Sundae's to create a winter themed birthday card.

I cut my snowman from the this set at the Digi Bistro :) I peachified him with the "Winter Faces" set. I love the "punny" greeting! :)

In addition to Birthday Sundaes' challenge and the Peachy Keen link up, I'm also sharing with Cardz TV challenge to include ribbon, rhinestones, or rick rack :) The "other" 3 R's lol!

Sports Valentines

Who says Valentines need to be lovey-dovey ;) I have 14 rambuncious boys in my first grade class who I know will appreciate these sports themed minis! These little cuties measure 3 1/4" square and feature 2 different diecuts from the  Boys Will Be boys cartridge. I embossed them with my Tiny Bubbles cuttlebug folder for dimension :)

The sentiment is from one of My Creative Time's first sets "You Had Me At Chocolate". I just love the fonts!!

I'm sharing these lil guys at:
Wee Memories - mini card challenge
My Creative Time - sports theme
Frosted Designs - no patterned paper

Bo Bunny + The Paper Variety = !

Welcome to the next challenge at The Paper Variety! Are you enjoying the new format? Twice a month challenges, with everyday inspiration from design team members through projects and tutorials! :) It's the 15th .. so time for a new challenge:

Rosettes are super trendy right now so add one to your paper project and link up to The Paper Variety! Not sure how to make one? Stay tuned this week for a tutorial from design team member, Sandi! ;) This week, Bo Bunny is sponsoring our challenge with their gorgeous "Enchanted" Line!

And.. Bo Bunny was extra generous and sent a few of the designers some of this product to work with, too. I'm honored to share my wedding layout!!

Aren't these boys handsome! Click to view larger.

I started with the sketch at the new kit club, Boys Rule. I also wanted to incorporate the photo inspiration challenge at Bo Bunny, so I went with a "child" theme, used the color blue, and added some banner pieces to the top left corner.

I journaled on a rub on from the same collection and fussy cut it from the light blue paper. I also added a rub on to the center of my rosette:

Be sure to stop by The Paper Variety over the next 2 weeks to see what the rest of the designers created and link up your own projects. THANKS BO BUNNY! for sponsoring us this week :)

I'm also sharing this layout at Pumpkin Spice  (for the "show your style" link up. A one photo layout with patterned papers, embellies, and a big title is my style these days!) and Scraptastic Club (for black and white with a color pop) :)

Have a great Sunday!

Good Saturday morning! :) I have another layout to share with the Artful Delight January layout kit! It was full of My Minds Eye's "Kraft Funday" papers! I decided to use them on this layout of my Mom and I at the play "Grease".

I just love the pops of color on this page! We had a great time; although the movie could not be topped - LOVE the soundtrack.. so it was fun to hear it live.

Be sure to stop by the Artful Delight blog and see what the rest of the designers are creating with the January kits and pick one up for yourself, too!
