Snowtober!

I love playing along with the challenges at Imaginisce, but when I saw this photo inspiration.. winter wonderland:

I was a little bummed. I'm all out of their holiday/winter collections. And then, I remembered that we had a very STRANGE snowstorm in October last year. We actually got snowed in out of town! It was dangerous because the heavy snow on top of trees still full of leaves, caused many down trees and wires. But -- most importantly for a scrapbooker, I got some amazing pics! lol!

I decided to use the "Happy Harvest" line with the "Winter Wonderland" theme.. unexpected, right? :) I love it !!

The weather forecasters called the event "Snowtober", so that's where the title comes from. I just love this little fox. I popped him up on foam tape and added a ribbon scarf :)

TGIF !! Thanks for stopping by today :)

Playing catch up :)

As I create new pages, I'm going to be going back and filling in the holes of past photos in my albums. Starting today with Thanksgiving 2010 :) I used the sketch at Authentique:

I used the "Gathering" collection:

I used 2 manilla tags by Ranger to build my title. Alphas by Making Memories and Lily Bee. The "gather" flag is a diecut from the Authentique collection.

I punched the brown mat with the Martha Stewart "Cherish" punch around the page set.

I'm also sharing this layout with Scraptastic Club for using a border punch :)

Thanks for stopping by today!
Happy New Years Eve ;)

So Thankful

Have you been following my friend Tessa's "Attitude of Gratitude" series? So powerful!

Pinned Image
Courtesy of Pinterest (totally addicted)

That's sort of how our life has been going lately.. rainy. But, still  so much to be thankful for. Starting first, with my hubby Dave. We just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary.

He is a constant source of support, comfort, and sunshine on my rainy days. I had to create a layout to show my thanks and appreciation for him.

I used the luscious, traditional colors of fall from the Bo Bunny "Forever Fall" collection (available at AWDML 25% off through November!).

I love the texture the burlap adds (a gift from my friend Theresa.. thanks!).

I cut those realistic leaves from patterned paper and cardstock from the same collection using the silhouettes on the A Child's Year cricut cartridge. I embellished the leaf mat with my Martha Stewart "doily lace" punch, too.

The wood alphas are my *favorite* new product.. available from Pink Paislee. I dressed them up with some gold pearls.

Thanks for visiting today! If you aren't already, I'd love if you became a follower. I'll be having a giveaway soon (I'm close to 500 followers!)

I'm sharing this layout with:

Jillibean Soup

Brrr... fall has officially come to the East Coast. It was so chilly here this weekend; I was excited to play with our  new featured sponsored for October at A Walk Down Memory Lane.. Jillibean Soup!

I loved this sketch at My Scraps And More for using 2 4x6 photos:

I used 2 pictures from our anniversary trip 2 years ago to Washington, D.C :)

The "Apple Cheddar Soup" is one of my favorites right now.  I also used the corrugated kraft alphas and a bean blossom. Check them out at AWDML this month!

Friday Night Lights :)

I love the challenge prompts at What is your favorite thing? The current favorite is pastimes. One of my hubby and I's favorite memories are high school football games... sitting in the cold bleachers, eating concession stand fries, showing your school spirit and of course - homecoming! We try to make it at least one game each fall.

I just love how this turned out! So simple, but so fun. I let my Cricut and Sure Cuts a Lot do most of the work with the lettering and shadows.

I also used my Boys Will Be Boys cartridge to make these football embellishments. I embossed them with my Tiny Bubbles cuttlebug folder for dimension.

I added a few buttons with twine to the 2nd page end zone to add a pop of yellow from the title on the first page.

Also joining the fun at:
The Cuttlebug Spot (cuttlebug/twine)
Scrappy-Mom Stamps (B is for Boy cartridge)

Hope you're having a great Saturday! :)

Golden Gate Bridge

I love skipping around in my scrapbooking and working on pages/memories as I feel inspired. When I saw the sketch at Artful Delight, I  knew it would be a nice way to showcase a 5x7 picture.

When I was at my LSS recently, I picked up some of the We R Memory Keeper's "Maple Grove" collection. The rich colors and touches of gold metallic I thought would be perfect for our fall trip to San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge!

I used my new "Honey" Thickers for the title. I outlined them in a black fine sharpie to add definition from the burgundy background. Then, I took my "Golden Rod" Stickles and glittered up the word 'golden'.

I love the embossed stickers from WRMK! I popped up the tree on foam and trimmed down the border, too.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday :)

Colorfest!

This fall, my friend Jess and I decided to tackle a new craft fair a few towns down. We didn't know we were going to hit the jackpot! lol. It was so crowded and so fun, we'll make this an annual trip :) I used the latest sketch from Sketch Inspiration.

Here's my page, using the Apple Cider collection from Imaginisce. Love this paper!

And that fall flower is from Tessa's new Autumn Spledor bouquet! A must have.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend ! :)

Shopping with my BFF :)

Tomorrow is the last day of school! My first graders made little memory things and I was cracking up at them saying "you'll be my BFF forever" :)

So I decided to do a 2 page layout using this sketch from Let's Scrap of me and my BFF from college.

My friend April always has these awesome flowers on her layouts and I decided to channel my inner April tonight. I cut these in various sizes from the Create a Critter cartridge - it's the accessory for the lil hedgehog.

I inked them in brown, rolled the pedals toward the middle, and topped with a pink floss knot on a brown button. The papers are the luscious Basic Grey Indian Summer 6x6 pad.

I hand cut the shadow in beige to make them pop from the layout.

Here's the first page... She treated me to a day of shopping at King of Prussia Mall, near where she lives - a month before I got married. We had our make-up professional done, I bought this dress for the rehearsal dinner, and other goodies too.

It was a fun day, with lots of wedding preparation crossed off the list. The title font was downloaded from this site and cut with my Sure Cuts A Lot / cricut.

Here they are together..

Thanks for looking~!

Capitol Building

My dear friend, Abby, gifted me an envie full of Little Yellow Bicycle's Autumn Bliss collection and a few other goodies. Normally, I like to "save" my new stuff for that perfect layout. I don't want to waste it after all! But my friend April encouraged me to go for it, so here goes.

I used some more pics from D.C. (and believe me I haven't even made a dent in them! lol) and the latest Sketchy Thursday sketch..

And made this..

One of the more quick layouts I've done! I cut the half top-note and it's shadow on my Cricut using Sure Cuts A Lot. Added the border sticker, journaling strips and thickers title. Walla!

Thanks for lookin'

Deja Vu

The fall season has definitely been "deja vu" for Dave and I. This time last year wedding preparation was in full swing! It was fun to be on the other side of things last weekend, as we were guests for our friend Eric's wedding. It's been awhile since I've gotten a nice picture of us!

It was so fun watching the happy couple cut the cake - and they were so nice to each other unlike a different groom that shall remain nameless who got icing up his new wife's nose and chocolate cake on her dress! LOL

The journaling on the patterned paper was a last minute decision, but I love how whimsy it turned out. With the exception of the Basic Grey Bling It arrow, everything is Bo Bunny's Mango collection.

Here is how they look side by side! Thanks for looking.

Autumn LO and Card

I am catching up on summer/fall pics from last year, prior to our wedding. This is a quick layout I made with different fall lines. I used a few buttons around the circle for the challenge that Penny is having on her blog.

With the scraps leftover from this layout (I cut a small section from behind the pumpkin paper of the background LOL) and the burgandy from the photo mats ~ I made this card. The quote came on a punch out sheet of 12x12 paper. I love the felt flower. I used the card sketch from MidnightMaddness.
