{{Love you tons}}

I love a punny card :)

I used a sentiment by Lawn Fawn and this cute elephant from my Create a Critter cricut cartridge to make this card for my Mom.

I am sharing this at Fantabulous Cricut for their Mother's Day challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

You're One Smart Cookie!

The minute I saw this lil Lawn Fawn set, I knew it had to come home with me. I am a first grade teacher who loves puns - and can see making toppers with set for a lil bag of cookies for my kids who do great on an assignment.

Those kids - they grow up. And my first class first graders JUST graduated {layout coming later today with THOSE pics!} - so I have some graduation cards to make also.

I stamped and embossed the diploma on the cardstock base to make my own patterned paper. I also went with our school colors of white, red and black. I paired the stamp set up with Quinn's ABCS, too!

I am linking up with the Lawn Fawn challenge - oh how I would LOVE to get those mermaids for my daughter's Ariel themed party!

Have a great weekend!

{Hello!}

I needed 2 just because note cards and used the fun sketch at Mojo Mondays:

I raided my scrap drawer for these papers and tried the die cut inlay technique with this Lawn Fawn sentiment die. So fun !!

Now, I have 2 more diecuts set aside to make more cards :) Hope you are enjoying NSD! :) Have a great rest of the weekend.

12 Tags of Christmas

My friend Sandi is rocking the Christmas tags! She had me itching to make some of my own (and the perfect craft to squeeze in during naptime!).  I'm playing along with the 12 Tags of Christmas series and lifting Kittie's beautiful design!

Tag left

I loved the birch trees, silhouette ... here's my take using patterned paper, my Child's Year cricut cartridge and my new Season's Tweetings Lawn Fawn stamps:

I popped up the birdie in the tree, as well as the snow bank in the foreground. I paper pieced the blue and colored the beaks and red accessories for a pop of color.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend.

Owl I Want For Christmas :)

I'm so smitten with the "Winter Owl" stamp set from Lawn Fawn! You can see the fall card I used the owl on HERE. Today, I wanted to incorporate the holiday sentiment and make a tag for one of my hubby's gifts.

I cut the scalloped heart and layers from the Sweethearts cricut cartridge at 4.5" as my tag base and I love how it turned out!

ACK! Isn't it so cute. I have red/white wrapping paper that will really make it pop. I did some reverse stamping with owl to make another owl facing the opposite direction. Very easy to do, with a little patience ;) They are each paper pieced with grey/kraft cardstock and red/green patterned papers. You know I couldn't resist adding googly eyes!

Another thing that took a little bit of patience, but SO easy - was masking the sentiment so I could stamp it out horizontally under my little owl sweethearts. The finishing touch was adding the itty bitty heart stamp to the centers of the snowflake background.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! Hope you had a wonderful holiday.. I'm ready to pack away the fall decorations and start singing carols ;)

I'm sharing my tag at the Lawnscaping Challenge

and at Paper Issues - Holiday Happy theme  :)

Lawn Fawn Love!

I have a new love.. Lawn Fawn stamps! I bought 2 of the new releases "So Thankful" and "Winter Owl". They are the cutest little sets - that I really wanted to use together.

The Lawnscaping blog is having a challenge to try something new; so in addition to using 2 sets for 2 different season on a card - I also decided to add a new element inspired by the challenge at Moxie Fab World.. burlap! I've used it on THIS layout, but not a card. I thought why not??

Here's the result:

Ack! How cute is he? I used marks to color his body and paper pieced his scarf. I masked the pumpkin behind him (also paper pieced) to make him more fall-ish and less winter-ish :) It works right?

Sounds crazy, but I think this is the first time I've masked an image like that! I'm more of a scrapper, than a stamper/cardmaker but I'm falling in love..

Love the sentiment in the "So Thankful" set and embellished it with a button.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope you're having a great week :)
