{thank you}

We had SNOW much fun making my daughter's first snowman (at a cabin fever party) last week, I had to make snowman themed thank you card for friend who hosted the party. She rented out her "big kids" to help, so the adults could take pics and sip hot chocolate. WIN WIN! ;)

Here's the card:

I used the adorable snowman from the Doodlecharms cartridge and am linking up at Fantabulous Cricut.

Hope you are having a good weekend!!

{you're a hoot}

Even when I'm trying to correct her, it's hard to keep a straight face. My toddler is always cracking me up !! I love these pictures of her, fresh out of the tub - wrapped in her owl towel - giggling as I called her my "baby burrito".  I'm so glad she thinks I'm funny! lol!

I created a layout featuring all 3 of the challenges from the "Scrappy Friends":

I used the right side only and substituted 3 photos instead of 4 but in the same arrangement.

I dug deep in my stash for some "Caribbean" twine from The Twinery!

I was inspired by the owl! ;)

And here's my layout, using papers from DCWV's Chalk Fun Stack:

'Thanks for stopping by! TGIF! Have a great weekend :)

{back to school}

No telling when I'll be back to school! We're buried under 3 feet of snow here :) But my kiddo is napping, so I am scrapping :)  I am SO glad that Imaginisce is releasing 2 new collections and have started their sketch challenges again. I just love Imaginisce's cute designs and bright colors. Their diecuts are the best!

Here's the January sketch:

Here's my layout, featuring a photo of ME (shocking right) setting up my classroom at the end of last summer. It was napped by our social media person and posted on my district's facebook. How fun to have this memory!

Thankfully, I still had stashed away some of my favorite Geek is Chic collection! Aren't those papers perfect?! The journaling explains this is my TWELFTH year of teaching first grade and that my FIRST class of first graders are now SENIORS. shut the front door people.

If you're on east coast; stay warm! :)

{Donut Worry. Be Happy}

I saw that phrase on Heidi Swapp's instagram and wish I'd seen it before I made this layout LOL. Oh well, "First Donut" it is!

I used the new Bella Blvd Valentine collection - I could not resist that donut paper!
I used the new sketch at the Scraproom Blog:

I would love the opportunity to work with their Flavor of the Month kit! Using a collection or kit makes my pages come together quickly.  I used a glassine bag with hidden journaling for the tag element on the top. The pics are cute but this quite the adventure to Dunkin Donuts and I had to document the hilarious (read: Toddler Mom) chain of events :)

I stuck to the sketch, but used 3 photos instead.. because, well.. these expressions were priceless. I cut a donut from the patterned paper base layer to make the "o" in donut. I love how the black matting makes everything pop on the fun patterned papers.

I'm also linking up at Paper Play Sketches.
Thank you or visiting, enjoy your week!

{sending hugs}

I made a card this evening using some bright, chalkboard papers from a DCWV stack in my stash! I used the sketch at Mojo Monday:

Here's the card!

I hope it brightens the day of a friend who has been through a lot! :)
