Artful Delight: HB2U!!

Where did June go??? I can't believe it's the last day of the month. And also the last Sunday of the month; which means my final card featured at Artful Delight :)

I used all patterned papers, stickers, and embellishments on this weeks card. It's a 31st birthday card for a friend ;)

Artful Delight: I'm Tired of Texting

Happy Sunday! It's time to share another card made with the June kit at Artful Delight. I love how this one turned out ;) Lots of dimension! First, I white embossed the typewriter on the red card base, then added the strip of blue on the right.

Then, I cut a circle from the patterned paper and added to the front with dimensional adhesive.

Have a great week!! :)

Artful Delight: Happy Birthday!

It's another Sunday post for me at Artful Delight :)
As soon as I saw the red cord in this month's card kit, I knew I wanted to coil it.

I got my glue gun out this week and made it happen I like how this one turned out :) Blue and red is a great color combo.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a great week ;)

Happy birthday, friend!

We all know how much I love the rose stamp from the Pretty Momma Paper Smooches set.. so when I saw this week's sketch on their Sparks challenge blog I was so excited!!

I added 3 roses to my card, but otherwise stuck close to the sketch. All papers are from the Echo Park "A Perfect Summer" 6x6 pad.

I think those roses are SO fun with the patterned paper piecing. The red one is popped up for dimension:

The white embosssed sentiment is from the must-have Sentiment Sampler. I added the comma and explanation point with white gel pen. I also added a solid white line to the green and blue layers to mimic the pink woodgrain.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a great rest of the week ;)

Exciting News!

I'm excited to share that I am the guest designer at Artful Delight this month :)

LeeAnne sent me the card kit to work with and I just love the Simple Stories papers and Hero Arts typewrite stamps

June Card Kit

I created my first project with this month's card sketch:

JUNE CARD SKETCH ASC #33

I made the following card:

I love how it turned out! It's my first "window" card with my Nestabilities dies (which is the only thing on the card NOT from the kit :) Here's what it looks like open:

I stamped the typewriter on the blue cardstock and again on white cardstock. I fussy cut the white, colored, and layered on top. I added a foam adhesive to the paper to make it really come to life.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Be sure to head over to Artful Delight today and all month long to see what the rest of the designers are creating with the June kits (and snag your own!). You can enter the layout and card sketches, too :) Can't wait to see your take!

Project Life: Week Twelve

One more page for today; Week 12:

I love this bright title card; it's by Doodlebug's "Take Note" simply put line.

I'm entering this layout at Stuck On Sketches for their challenge to use a button on a PL page (the fabulous journal card below). I was a nervous wreck this week; my youngest brother boarded a plane with his Spanish class to Spain for the week. He was sweet to text me every few days for my peace of mind :)

Ah, the first round of golf for the year. He golfs. I scrapbook. Win win :)

Not much else going on this weekend; so I added a snippet of our grocery list (hubby's handwriting) and layered on a photo of all the bags piled up in the kitchen. The blue card is a very old Fancy Pants journal card from my stash.

The picture below it was more of a filler card. Like I said nothing really going on this particular weekend ;) So I took a photo of a silly photo that is framed in our living room; it's one of my favorites. It's us in the photobooth of my friends' wedding lol! Isn't that dog adorable. He is from WRMK's Fiesta line.

Lastly, a dinner out at TGIFridays. I love adding a circle embellishment to the center of a collage photo. I searched a long time for a small silverware stamp. This one is from My Creative Time.

And speaking of Project Life pages, have you checked out my new blog? We are giving away a Becky Higgins "Blush" kit. See all the details HERE. Have a great Sunday!

Project Life: Week Eleven

Taking the first week of summer vacation to catch up on my Project Life album :)
Week Eleven: The week I was down most days with the stomach flu :(

While home, we had recessed lighting installed in our living room. How did we ever function without? I love spending more time gathered there. No more dull lamps!

My baby brother got his first speeding ticket.. right down the road from my school LOL. You can also see a bit of our first grade play. The solar system :)

That weekend was our nieces' joint family party. I got a picture with one of us with one of them and embellished the cards with their age and first initial. Here's Isabella - now in the double digits!

And Alexandra with my hubby. Can't believe she's 4 already.

I love how this card turned out. I fussy cut that polariod from a patterned paper by Imaginisce and journaled on it.

My hubby has a habit of writing something silly on a post it, crumpling it up and throwing it at me while I'm scrapbooking. Another card from Imaginisce :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are having a good Sunday.

Sequins!!

Okay, okay, I'm finally giving in to the latest trend - sequins :) I ordered a few different varieties and was also gifted some from an online friend. Such fun! I saw the neatest idea on Nikki's blog. Check out her card HERE. And here's my take on it:

I wanted to make a special card for my hubby who is going on a week long golf trip next week. I embossed the black card base with my Stampin Up chevron folder. I popped up my die cut heart above the rows of sequins. Aren't they sparkly?!

The "miss you" sentiment is from Paper Smooches. Thanks for stopping by today!

Another Graduation :)

Had I known we would have so many graduations this summer, I would have prepared better! I've had to get pretty creative in using only these 3d mortar caps I picked up at Michaels.  This time, I used the sketch at Mojo Monday:

This bright, fun card is for the daughter of one of my husband's coworkers. Her party is tonight; hopefully the rain holds out.

I love the silver background and the bright colors on top :) I printed the congrats circle on my computer and added the little graduation hat. I used my PL letter/number stickers for the high school and year.

I'm also sharing this card at Pumpkin Spice's graduation themed challenge. Thanks for stopping by! Happy Friday!

Happy Fathers Day!

I made my father-in-law's card already since it's going to be a busy month of June. I used the sketch at Techno-Stamper:

I used my new set from Papers and Such and actually did some simple coloring on this card. The papers are from Simple Stories Take a Hike 6x6 pad.

I'm also sharing at Go Fish Challenges and Cardz TV challenge to make a Father's Day card; I don't have any of Mary's sets (yet!) but maybe I can win one ;)
