{{drive}}

Happy Thanksgiving vacation to me! I couldn't wait to get in my scraproom and play with  Ali Edward's Drive story kit. It was perfect for these pics of my brother's 21st birthday, when my husband rented a mustang for their road trip. Isn't that "drive" acrylic awesome?

I used Brenda's sketch, adjusting it a bit with my 4 instagram pics.

I also used Rochelle's cork or wood challenge - I used a man wood veneer.

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your turkey day! :)

Take a Hike!!

LOL.. no not really.. but I did scrapbook some Colorado photos of a hike we took, while on Old Trail Road to the top of the mountains :) It was simply, breathtaking. All of it. I would love to go back!

I used the sketch this month at Imaginisce with their "Happy Camper" line:

In addition to the sketch -- you were to use the color blue (CHECK.. my background mat, title, and journaling) and your theme word for 2013 (CHECK.. mine is adventure). Here's my layout~

Click to view larger :) I really like how it turned out! Another one for the Colorado album (it was only Summer 2011 lol)

The diecuts from Imaginisce ROCK.. I love the cut out look, as well as the glossy highlights on some of the words/images. I stuck pretty close to the sketch -- cutting my circle outline with my cricut to give a pop of yellow.

I fussy cut these trunks from patterned paper to give a funky "scallop" border. I also fussy cut that lil bear from patterned paper and stamped my journaling on the bottom of my "polaroid".

I distressed the edge of the patterned paper, layering on a blue cardstock background to make those lil birdies pop. I tore open the top of the page and tucked one of the trunks behind - adding our initials. Love!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're having a great week. Stay warm!

Baby card :)

My sweet friend and neighbor, Lauren, had her baby on Friday evening - a little girl they named Priya. I made a congratulations card this morning to go along with the cute, pink outfits I got to buy! I used this sketch from The Sampler Kit Club:

I used my My Minds Eye Indie Chic 6x6 pad, New Arrival cricut cartridge for the safety pins, and my Ali Edwards "Newborn" set for the sentiment:

Thanks for stopping by today! It's time for me to turn off the news and turn on football for the afternoon. My heart is so heavy for the families in Connecticut. As a first grade teacher, it hit all too close to home :( Have a   blessed Sunday!

There is no doubt..

I love how devoted my husband is to making our nursery an awesome room for our future child. I had a special picture of him I wanted to scrapbook, putting the finishing touches on the custom made wainscotting panels. The one photo sketch at Artful Delight this month was perfect:

November Layout Sketch Challenge ASC #26

Here's my layout:

I used woodgrain and blueprint patterned papers that have been in my stash for a while. I added some pops of yellow from the color combo challenge at Scraptastic (when blue skies are grey inspiration).

I've had these bingo cards and Sassafrass embelishments in my stash for a while too. It felt great to use them, finally.  I'm sharing this page at Lasting Memories because I also used my "Loving Words" stamp set by Ali Edwards to embellish my papers/picture.

I used my EK Success "binding edge" punch and mini heart punch to embellish the woodgrain strips on the top and bottom of my layout. I may go back and add handwriting journaling to the blue paper :)

Thanks for stopping by today.. if I don't post again HAPPY THANKSGIVING! :)

Loving Life :)

My friend April recently addicted me to Ali Edward's stamps... there's no turning back now! My first set was "Loving Words" and I have several more on the way to my mailbox after a ridiculous sale she shared with me. I couldn't wait to use the sentiment "Loving life with you by my side".

Tomorrow is the anniversary of my hubby and I's first date :) I wanted to make him a card and loved the sketch this month at Authentique:

I used the masculine papers in the 6x6 Freebird "Comfort & Familiar" collection to make this:

~swoon~ I am so happy with how it turned out! I embossed the script in white on the dark green cardstock (same as the card base). I fussy cut the > > piece on either side.

I *finally* picked up a small heart punch. I popped each of these up (6 hearts for 6 years!).

I hope he likes it as much as I do or I might ask for it back!! lol! :) Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great weekend!
