I needed 2 just because note cards and used the fun sketch at Mojo Mondays:

I raided my scrap drawer for these papers and tried the die cut inlay technique with this Lawn Fawn sentiment die. So fun !!

Now, I have 2 more diecuts set aside to make more cards :) Hope you are enjoying NSD! :) Have a great rest of the weekend.

ScrapRoom Reveal: Simple Stories Carpe Diem Kit

This collection was definitely a favorite!! Love the black with brights!!

I created this layout to document my NEW car... not a new to me car.. but my first NEW car! There's no turning back now. I went from not even having power windows to heated seats and keyless start! EEK! And to think I let my 2 year old eat in the backseat... LOL!!

How fun are those mini chipboard frames?!!?
Everything on my layout is included in the April kit with the exception of the thickers:

Head over to the ScrapRoom Blog to see more information and sign up to snag a kit! The are awesome!! Happy almost Friday !!

{ScrapRoom} Elle's Studio: Little Moments

Happy Sunday!

I am sharing a recipe for the next layout I created at The ScrapRoom blog:

It uses the Elle's Studio "Little Moments" collection from the April Flavors of the Month kit. I documented our recent road trip to North Carolina to visit my husband's best friend and family. It was so fun I wanted to use all the candids I took on a 2 page layout.

A few close ups:

Isn't that twine so fun with the pink, black, and white?!

Head over to the Scrap Room blog to see how I created this layout!
Have a great week! :)

Guest Designer at the Scrap Room!

I am so excited to announce I was invited to be a guest designer at The Scrap Room!

The first layout I created was with our April "Be Our Guest" Sketch:

I used the Bo Bunny "Believe" kit for my layout:

I loved using 2 square photos of my daughter and I, taken before a bridal shower. Despite what people say about the "terrible 2s" - I really love this age! I wanted to incorporate that sentiment into the title, along with the "live in the moment" chipboard.

I fussy cut several flowers from the patterned papers, in place of the the sketch and layered with more chipboard pieces. I used a distressing tool on several of the layers to add dimension and a bit of white between the vibrant colors!

I'm so excited to share inspiration with you all month long! Be sure to check out the ScrapRoom blog to see what the rest of the designers are creating, as well as the ScrapRoom store to get one of these fantastic kits!!

{Frosty Friends}

I wanted something different to document the Blizzard of 2016.. I just LOVE this Wonderland collection by Pretty Paper Studio! I love the nontraditional color scheme, vintage icons, and all the little bits and pieces that coordinate. The papers, however, only come in 8x8.

I thought the sketch challenge at The Scraproom Blog would go perfect with the sizes I had to work with! So I cut everything and adhered to a soft pink base:

These lovely people are my teacher friends (we all teach K-3); who decided to get together for a snowman making party with our kids. It was SO fun. And that's my awesome hubby who didn't want to miss his daughters (she's 2) first snowman. Also we needed the manpower (LOL!)

The candy dots added the perfect trio to the tag and flag element at the top.

How fun are those scripty titles?! So many would have worked here. I can't wait to use them all. That arrow is pointing to my very cold and unhappy daughter. Three feet was just too much snow to have fun for her (plus her mittens were wet within 5 minutes of building).

Isn't that vintage snowman adorable? Love a trio of itty bitty emellishments to call it done ;)

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great week!

Are We There Yet?

I've thought about this page all month and finally made the time (and the stars aligned.. ha!) to put it together this evening. I used the sketch at Imaginisce:

The Imaginisce "Happy Traveler" line was perfect for this adorable photo of my daughter (far left) and 2 nieces squished in my backseat on a road trip to the American Girl Store last December. Everything on this page is from the collection with the exception of the glittered hearts.

What a road trip this was!! :) So glad to have this photo and memory documented. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

{thank you}

We had SNOW much fun making my daughter's first snowman (at a cabin fever party) last week, I had to make snowman themed thank you card for friend who hosted the party. She rented out her "big kids" to help, so the adults could take pics and sip hot chocolate. WIN WIN! ;)

Here's the card:

I used the adorable snowman from the Doodlecharms cartridge and am linking up at Fantabulous Cricut.

Hope you are having a good weekend!!
