Project Life 2014: Week 2

Good Sunday morning! I'm back to share another 2014 page; week 2. I'm so in love with how these pages come together:

This week, I used a sunrise picture (on my way to work) for my title card. I love that paper clip!

This time last year, I did a routines card with what our day usually looks like. Oh how times have changed!! :) So I did a little card telling about our mornings. Baby M lounging in our bed while I get ready and smiling for her "good morning" pic we send daddy (who leaves for work before she's up).

I recently bought my first Becky Higgins "official" Project Life kit.... KIWI. Oh my am I in love with the handwriting on these quote cards! I added the dot doodles.

Even with lots of pics of baby M, I'm trying to include a few school project pics too ;) After all it is 8+ hours of my day everyday. Writing is one of my favorite things to teach.. this is a fun project I found on Pinterest to make with my kids "If I lived in a snow globe"

Is she really old enough to sit in tub by herself?!  This week I realized she was getting too big for the infant seat :(

I included a journaling card telling about the gift and sweet letter we received from baby M's birthmom. We also took her to her first Farm Show :) First time sitting up in the stroller!

I am really hoping to find some moments today to work on week 3. I''m on a roll ;)
Happy Sunday!

Project Life 2014: Week 1

Yesterday, I shared my 2014 cover page & today I have week 1:

Over Christmas break, I organized all my paper collections into seasons instead of by company so that I could easily find things for Project Life. I "found" this older MME holiday collection that makes me think this is what my lil girl will look like in a few years :) I used my Lawn Fawn stamps for the "Week 1"

I have hardly any pictures of the 3 of us! My bestie snapped this moment with her phone on New Years Eve. Love how we are both looking at her. And how she loves to grab and chew on the drawstrings of my hoodies :)

Baby M just started playing peek-a-boo. Her favorite is to hide behind the shower curtain. She loves laying in front of the tub while I swap and fold laundry (which is in our downstairs bath closet). I punched the pink heart from woodgrain paper and spiced up the 3x4 card from Simple Stories' baby girl pack.

Also from that collection, these 4x6 month in review cards. I love the small pic of her with her "6 month" sticker.

I love that project life is just that.. everyday life. And let's face it, it's not always pretty. Insert grumpy girl:

I journaled about our not-so-perfect snow day on this handmade 4x6 card. I loving using my patterned paper scraps on these pages!

My hubby and I went out for lunch and to do some shopping, while baby girl hung out with Grammie. Usually she is sleeping or missing momma when we return, but not this time. She was happily playing patty-cake. I snapped this quick pick before she reached for me lol! I used my nestabilities to diecut the pic and frame and popped it up on patterned paper.

On our date day, my hubby and I saw the based on a true story Disney movie "Saving Mr. Banks". It was AWESOME. I saved the movie stubs and made this 3x4 card inspired by the disney colors and buttons in the shape of Mickey Mouse. I was so happy with how it came out!

Lastly, a snapshot of what Sunday looks like around here. Silly playtime ;)

Hope you had a great Saturday! Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life: 2014

Yes, I'm just now (end of February) finishing and sharing my cover page for Project Life: 2014. Don't judge..lol!  It's been a BUSY year already, even with several snow days. But, that's the beauty of this project. Life goes on. I'm making memories and (hopefully) scrapping an everyday snapshot of the time of our lives. Parenthood in full swing! Hello Life:

I am IN LOVE with these 4x6 cards from Simple Stories and new I wanted to use them on my cover page. How cute are those hearts? And cameras?! I diecut the year on my cricut.

Here's the whole page (Insert happy squeal here.. it was worth the wait!):

With the bold colors on black backgrounds, I thought it would be perfect to have 4 3x4 black and white pics of our new family of 4 across the middle. I layered each on a different color and diecut our initial from the same cardstock.  My hubby and I:

Our "kids" - baby M and Jax :)

I diecut our family name with my cricut from a fun font on my computer and ADORE it.

There you have it folks. Project Life 2014 edition kickstart ;) Stay tuned.

PS - I'm linking up at Paper Issues for the Color by Number challenge.

"Love You More Than..."

Happy Saturday! Believe it or not it is STILL snowing some here on the east coast so that isn't stopping my hubby and I from keeping our Valentine's Day (a day later) date this evening. Those rare moments just the 2 of us are treasured more than ever now that we have a lil one. I so love and appreciate how we've built a strong foundation for our daughter and giving her the gift of parents who love each other AND have so much fun together.  So I think even though this is a lovey-dovey layout of her Mom and Dad, I think it will go in her album :)

I was inspired by the monthly Scrappy Friends challenges.. so I used:

(which forced me to use this adorable patterned paper I've been hoarding!)

I'm always stumped for a title on these "just because" layouts, so I used the Scraptastic Club's challenge to use a quote from someone on your layout. We always say goofy "I love you more than.." stuff to each other.

I love using my Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch to create this pleated lace around my heart. I did a tutorial WAY back when if you want to check it out HERE.

I even went all crazy and raided my Project Life stash for the love bingo card and tags on my square photos :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Love You a Ton!

Happy day before Valentine's Day snow day!
Yes, that's my mailbox in the background lol!

During naptime today, I made my lil girl a special first Valentine's card using my favorite baby stamp (from Paper Smooches' "A Little Lovin'")

Paper Smooches is celebrating their anniversary and are having a "fun and cute" challenge going on. Can these 2 elephants get any more cute? And how fun is that sentiment? I typed/printed it and then stamped the Paper Smooches "Streamer" on top and fussy cut.

That popped up scalloped circle diecut frame was a..um.. accident... but I had so much time invested in this card I could not scrap it and start over and have a card finished before she woke up :)  I hope she likes it! And by likes it I mean doesn't shove it in her mouth and rip it to shreds.. HAHA!

Valentine Cards

I raided my Project Life cards to make these 2 quick and easy Valentines for my hubby. The first one is for my daughter to give to him and I used one of the sketches at Lucy's Cards (day4).

This one I'm giving my hubby.. love the colors on this subway art. I embossed my Hero Arts woodgrain in white on black for a fun look.

Stay tuned for the Valentine I made for my daughter that I spent wayy too much time on lol!

Tea for Two!!

With the "snowpocolapse" knocking at our north east door yesterday, I printed off some pics in anticipation for some snow day scrapbooking!  It felt so good to make a page "just for fun". I was inpsired by the challenge at ScrapStuffz:

That I just HAD to use these pictures of my beautiful girl playing with her new tea set. Echo Park's "Little Girl" collection was PERFECT for it!

I actually used my favorite Stampin Up embossing folder "Lattice" on 2 of the diecut mats and love how they turned out:

Aren't those tea pots precious? Love the vibrant colors and patterns that Echo Park uses!

This title was perfect and I layered it on a photo corner. There's that smile!! :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog today; HOPEFULLY stay tuned for more posts.  The snow sure isn't letting up! 12 inches and counting.........

{Artful Delight} February Kit Reveal

Good Saturday morning!!! I can't believe we are flipping the calendar to February already but I am kinda glad to be saying adios to January and it's horrible weather. Doesn't look like February will be much better here on the east coast but at least there's light at the end of the tunnel!

You are going to be delighted with the February scrapbook kit at Artful Delight:

I've already made 2 layouts and counting with it :)

Before I go, here's the last layout I created with January's kit that I forgot to share here:

I used this sketch at My Scraps and More:

Have a great weekend! :)
