Polka Dots!

Abby has a fun challenge up at The Paper Variety!

The prize this week is sponsored by The Paper Trail.

I love sharing my love of scrapbooking (and my cricut LOL) with family and friends who also like to preserve memories but may not have as much time (or supplies LOL) as I do.

This week I made some Easter kits for easy assembly.

I used My Minds Eye patterned papers with my Create a Critter cartridge. I just love the critters and accessories! I even embossed the carrots with my cuttlebug.

Be sure to stop by The Paper Variety to see what the rest of the DT created and enter your polka-dot paper projects (say THAT 3 times fast) before Tuesday at noon for a chance to win.

Also, more of my custom layouts can be found HERE. I love special requests, so if you would like me to place an order send me an email :)

Bridal Shower

Tis the season, right? More bridal shower pictures :) This time it is my beautiful niece, Isabella, though! She was cracking up that there was an umbrella with holes in it to put cards in at the party. Then she said, oh cause it's a bridal "shower"... I get it.. LOL! We were cracking up at that one!

I just love how it turned out! Most of the products used are Bo Bunny's "Crush" line - which I bought JUST for this photo. I'm entering it in their "Stamping and Stitching" challenge. I used my white gel pen to faux stitch and dot around the patterned paper grid. I also used my number stamps to stamp and emboss the date at the top in white.

This Bo Bunny "Secret Crush" petal is my favorite part of this layout! I just love the black tulle and big red gem. It really adds a fun touch to her girly page.

To add definition from all the patterns, the photo and title (cut from the Sweethearts cartridge) are all on pop dots!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend!

Cricut Cardz - Mother's Day Challenge

Don't let Mother's Day sneak up on you this year (it comes earlier than I expected). Join the Cricut Cardz challenge this week and be ahead of the game! You can use any colors or cartridge!

I chose to make a Mother's Day card for a special friend of mine using A Child's Year.

I kept it simple but I just love the blue/brown colors. The papers are all Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry from the 6x6 stack.

I tied the bow first, then added my banner sentiment on pop dots and topped that with a button :)

Be sure to check out Cricut Cardz to see what the rest of the design team created and link up your cards!

Nuts About You

I love this sketch from The Scrappiest!

I decided to do a 2nd page to the Muir Woods layout I did a few weeks ago using Cosmo Cricket's "Mr. Campy". I used a 5x7 photo of our wedding bands on one of the HUGE redwood tree trunks. I know it's SUPER cheesy, lol, but it was perfect for my journaling.

I am also entering this into Emma's "Throwback Thursday" challenge. She wanted us to create a layout using a Cricut Lite cartridge. I don't have any of those {yet} so I used my somewhat older Create A Critter.

The little squirrel is one of my favorites! I also cut out the acorn for my "Nuts About U" title. The fern sprigs are from the dinosaur cut. They match the patterned paper perfectly!

Thanks for stopping by tonight!
Thanks goodness tomorrow is Friday!!! :)

Thank "Ewe"!

I am just under the wire to play along with Flaunt It Fridays! :)

Their challenge this week was to use the sheep from the Country Life cartridge. I don't have that one but I used the sheep from Create A Critter instead.

I adore how this turned out! The papers are Basic Grey from my scrap stash.

I ran the white layer through my Cuttlebug swiss dots folder and popped her up!

TGIF tomorrow!

Another bridal shower :)

This time my sister-in-laws in February :) I used the current sketch at Let's Scrap:

The pinkish patterned paper was punched with my Martha Stewart "Cherish" punch around the page set :)

I was inspired by the Spring challenge at Lasting Memories. So I used my floral My Minds Eye stack I picked up a few weeks ago from my local craft store.

These adorable flowers were made following this great tutorial from Helen! I am also entering this layout at ScrapFit :)

Now if only it would start feeling like spring around here ;)

Horsin' Around!

I loved the sketch challenge over at My Little Shoebox this month!

Extra Sketch

I made a layout using LOTS of different MLS collections - Green, Simple Life, Just Add butter, All a Flutter and more. The papers and patterns are so fun, they coordinate so well together!

I scrapped a photo of me holding my cousin's little boy, Declan, at a horse farm we visited. Let me start by saying I'm afraid of horses. After 2 terrifying experiencing riding horses, I swear, I won't be getting back on. But how scary could visiting the petting zoo be?

Well just look at this little fellow that decided to charge the fence while we peeked inside! LOL! Just another reason why horses and I aren't friends. You can probably tell by the "smile" on my face that I was freaked out!

The trees are cut A Walk in the Park patterned paper, while the tractor and sheep are from The Simple Life collection. I cut my "horsin'" part of the title on my cricut using the woodgrain patterned paper and the "around" are mini alpha stickers. Love those!

I trimmed down the orange scallop die cut to be a border for my 4 squares and mounted it on woodgrain paper. I used the yellow border strip in the middle, photo corners, and green/brown scalloped journal box from the All A Flutter die cuts.

I really like how it turned out! :)

Thanks for stopping by tonight.
Have a great weekend!

April Showers Bring May Flowers :)

That's the theme behind this week's Paper Variety photo inspiration challenge!

Stop by TPV to see how the talented DT was inspired by this cute picture! Lots of fun takes.

I decided to make a card using these trendy rain boots!

I got my cute boots from my new favorite .svg site "Lettering Delights". These are actually a freebie when you sign up on their site! A must!

The prize this week at The Paper Variety is the "State Fair" collection from Studio Calico!!

You Crack Me Up! :)

Sherry is having a fun card sketch challenge at Seasons of Change:

IMG_8107

I decided to make a spring card for Fantabulous Cricut. I just love the Simply Charmed cartridge!

I love dressing up  my die cuts. I ran the shell through my Cuttlebug "D'vine Swirls" folder instead of cutting out the layers. I used the funny stamp "you crack me up" from Emma's My Creative Time stamp set for Paula's Wacky Wednesday challenge this week, too.

Hope you're having a crafty Saturday! ;)

Candle Card :)

I had to go out of my comfort zone for Christina's no cricut challenge! I decided to make my own candles by rolling up strips of striped patterned paper. I added some yellow floss for the wick.

I really like the masculine colors! The burgundy layer I ran through my Cuttlebug using the "argyle" folder. I left out the bottom inch to be able to stamp/emboss my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!

Flying Solo

I made a quick layout this morning for a few few challenges. This one is for the San Francisco anniversary trip album. My husband was there for a conference over that weekend, so we flew out ahead of time together and did the "tourist" thing and then I flew home by myself while he stayed for work.

I used the current sketch at Sassy Little Sketches:

I really like how it turned out! Simple, with the focus on these amazing pictures out the plane window. I was so proud of myself for flying back by myself across country!

I used Basic Grey's "Wander" collection for the papers and embellishments. The title is made with Jillibean Soup corrugated alphas (love the negatives!)

There is a fun challenge going on at Get Cricky to "Pack Your Bags". When I looked through my photos I knew these would be perfect :)
