Happy Brrrthday!

I need to replenish my birthday card stash - and was inspired by the latest challenge at Birthday Sundae's to create a winter themed birthday card.

I cut my snowman from the this set at the Digi Bistro :) I peachified him with the "Winter Faces" set. I love the "punny" greeting! :)

In addition to Birthday Sundaes' challenge and the Peachy Keen link up, I'm also sharing with Cardz TV challenge to include ribbon, rhinestones, or rick rack :) The "other" 3 R's lol!

OMG.. what's not to love!!

The card I created this week uses the Flower Frenzy set.

One of my favorite twine techniques is to wrap it around a scallop circle to create a cool embellishment.

The papers are from Basic Grey's "Hello Luscious" 6x6 collection. Love them!

Be sure to stop by The Digi Bistro and check out our latest release, Autumn Harvest.

A Spider Card

I made a quick and cute (even if it DOES have a spider on it.. lol) Halloween card for the Cricut 360 blog hop.

I finally used my new Martha Stewart spider web border punch! Love it! This little spider is from the Halloween Town set at The Digi Bistro!

Have a great Saturday :)

Bushels of Fun at TDB! :)

Hi Friends! It's Tuesday which means another "This to That Tuesday" Challenge at The Digi Bistro! Cher designed an awesome autumn set for us to use this week to make a fall scenery card. This features a sneak peek of the "Autumn Harvest" file !!

I think this may be my most favorite card I've made with Cher's sets! I just love it!

I stamped my bushel basket with the "Woodgrain" background stamp from Hero Arts.  This is a MUST HAVE stamp!! All the apples are inked in brown, too.  The red patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl 6x6 pad.

Love that dimension!! Stop over to Cher's Studio to see what the rest of the design team created and link up your own fall scenery cards to win a $5 gift card to The Digi Bistro AND a Trick or Treat stamp set from Inkadinkado! :)

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Good morning! I am so excited about this exclusive set that Cher designed for The Digi Bistro to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness. Proceeds of the file will be donated to breast cancer awareness and research! How cool!

FIGHT LIKE A GIRL!
"Fight Like a Girl"
$5 donation

Here's my take on this week's challenge: create a "twisted easel" card that includes a pink ribbon to support the cause.

I know, I was a little intimidated at first, too. But I love making easel cards so the "twist" on this fun, fold was something I was excited to try. And just like the easel card that I thought would be really complicated, it was super simple and turned out cute!

This is the tutorial I followed from the fabulous Mary at CardzTV.

I'm so happy with how this card turned out! Isn't that bear the sweetest? In addition to using the new set "Fight Like a Girl"; I used the frame from "Halloween Town" for my sentiment. Cher's sets are so versitale! The sentiment comes from this inspirational song:

I'm also entering this card at Paula's "Wacky Wednesday" challenge ;)

Be sure to stop by Cher's Studio to see what the rest of the DT created and also link up your own pink ribboned  "twisted easel cards" for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to The Digi Bistro!

Have a great day!

Boo!

Hi everyone! It's time for another "This to That Tuesday Challenge" at The Digi Bistro! This week we are creating a card that includes a tag. Have you checked out the "Tag It" set? Perfect for this challenge!

I used Tag #1 twice on this card. I adhered them end to end and threaded my ribbon through the holes, tying a bow.

Isn't that ghost a cutie? He's from the "Pick Your Poison" set. The patterned papers are from Cosmo Cricket's "Matilda" 6x6 pad.

Stop by Cher's Studio to see what the rest of the design team created and link up your own tag cards! :) The prize this week is 2 stamp sets by Making Memories :)

I'm also linking this card up at Wee Memories, My Craft Spot and Celebrate the Occasion!

Have a great night!

Pick Your Poison!!

That's the latest Halloween file release at The Digi Bistro and it is SO adorable:

PICK YOUR POISON HALLOWEEN SVG

The This to That Tuesday challenge this week is to create a fall easel card - leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows, Halloween you name in it. The cool thing about Cher's challenges is you don't *have* to use her files to enter to win -- although we'd love to see what you create with them!

I used the lil bat on my easel card:

He really is too cute to spook with those mis-matched google eyes ;)

Stop by Cher's Studio to see what the rest of the design team created and enter your card!

I'm also entering this lil guy at Paper Playtime.

Have a great day :)

Tag, You're it!! :)

Good morning!

Welcome to another "This to That Tuesday Challenge" at The Digi Bistro!!  The challenge this week is to create a Halloween tag! And Cher has just added an awesome tag set to the TDB store :)

I used one of those fabulous tags on this duo:
I used all Studio G product, which I picked up at my local craft store. White embossing on patterned paper? Daring! But I like it ;)

Is that monster not the CUTEST? He's a sneak peek file from an upcoming set releasing Friday, September 9th called "Pick Your Poison".

Until then, treat yourself to Halloween Town - in store now :)

HALLOWEEN TOWN

Visit the Halloween tag challenge at Cher's Studio. Check out what the rest of the design team created and enter to win.  The prize this week is a set of your choice from the Digi Bistro AND a Basic Grey fall card it kit!!

Furever My Friend :)

Staying bunkered down at home for the weekend while we wait out Hurricane Irene here on the East Coast. Wishing all my scrapbooking and blogging friends a safe weekend!

I have been creating all morning, most projects I can't share yet - but I do have one layout I to show you. I'm making a scrapbook for my best friend who is due in any day now :) She has a BIG, lovable chocolate lab who is about to have a "baby brother". I had to create a special page for him in the scrapbook for all of those cute puppy/baby pics.

The "Furever My Friend" set at The Digi Bistro store is my favorite! And I used several cuts on this layout:

I think it's my favorite page I made for her so far! :) The name of this set is included in the collection, perfect for this scrapbook layout's title!

There are some adorable doggie cuts, I chose 2 of them that best resembled her dog. Some of these have spots you can also cut, but I left them out as he is solid brown. I just had to add google eyes!

All of my diecuts are on popdots for dimension :)

The bone is also included in this set, and I used my new favorite Scrappy Mom Stamps "Raining Cats and Dogs"to stamp "I woof you!" on each of the them.

The scallop mats were made with the Stylish Edges #5 file - perfect for 4x4 square photos. I embellished each of them with my EK Success ticket punch and another Scrappy Mom Stamps sentiment from the same set. These are popped up, so her photos can slide under.

The doghouse was so fun embellish! I used my Cuttlebug "distressed stripes" folder on the red layer to make it appear wood-like.  I also added a little sign for her dog's name instead of the paw included in the set... and another bone!

I hope she enjoys this page as much as I do! :) Be sure to stop by the Digi Bistro blog and facebook page to see what the rest of the design team is creating. A new set will debut on Monday and a new challenge introduced on Tuesday!

There's still time to participate in the "step card" challenge. See all the details here.

Have a great weekend! :)

Birdy in pink :)

I needed to make a girly birthday card today and am excited to enter it into a few challenges :) The colors were inspired by the Birthday Sundae's pink/green/white challenge and the overal design inspired by this card sketch at Sassy Little Sketches.

This little birdy is part of the Simply Tweet collection at The Digi Bistro! I don't have the Straight from the Nest cartridge that the Scrappy Moms challenge called for, so I used a similar cut.  The sentiment is from their Everyday Greetings set.

This was my first time using liquid pearls! I think I'm hooked! I also used my Martha Stewart doily lace punch :)

I'm also entering this card at the Paper Trail and Fantabulous Cricut for birthday cards :)

Have a great Saturday!

{Step Card}

Welcome to the "This to That Tuesday Challenge" at the Digi Bistro!

I love trying new techniques :) This week's challenge at The Digi Bistro was to make a "step card", a first for me! But it was super simple and definitely a repeat technique!

This is a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card, scored in half, but with a few other strategic cuts and folds.  I followed this tutorial for the measurements.

UNDER THE SEA MINI COLLECTION

I embellished my card with the ADORABLE "Under the Sea Friends" designs.

So cute, right?! The little crab is my favorite.

I used a sentiment from Scrappy Mom Stamps.

Stop by and see what the rest of the talented design team created.

We want to see your step up cards, too!

Link up you cards to The Digi Bistro blog for a chance to win 3 prizes. Random winners may receive a $5, $10, or $15 gift certificate to The Digi Bistro!

Have a great day!
