Happy Graduation!

Tis the season for the cap and gown! We are going to a graduation party this Saturday and I wanted to make a little something for the gift. When I saw the latest Sparks challenge at Paper Smooches I knew just the thing!

Display our button

I decided to make a gift tag. This rainbow chevron paper is one of my favorites :)

Can you believe I used 4 Paper Smooches sets?? I used the Woofers and Tweeters, Streamers, Sentiment Sampler AND Alphadot stamp sets! Whew!! :)

I love how the banner extends the width of the tag. I embossed the personalized name in white on black to give it that chalkboard feel since she is going to be a teacher :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Project Life: Week Ten

I made it 10 weeks into Project Life ~happy dance~

I had a vision for this week's title card and it came together almost as I'd hoped lol! This 4x6 camera is from Bo Bunny; I hand cut and outline the #1, then made an .svg file of my own handwriting for "week" (because I couldn't find any fonts where it was stretched out like that) and cut with my cricut.

A snow day in March?? I'll take it! Here is my boy and I lounging the day away with our snow day essentials.. HA!

Love the Doodlebug "Simply Put" 4x6 cards - this one is from the "Flowerbox" line. I decided to do some journaling about how my hubby and I approach cleaning lol!

After all that cleaning - it was dinner at Five Guys with this silly dude and my bestie.

We also had warm enough weather for the first long walk of the season. I'm loving taking more photography type pictures and including them in my Project Life:

Simple Stories' "Vintage Bliss" is one of my new favorite collections. I used one of the 4x6 cards for a pic of my hubby and I on a Sunday drive in the truck-

That's it for now! Scroll down to see the previous 2 weeks and a traditional layout too :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great week !

PS -  I'm sharing this layout with Paper Issues' challenge/blog hop to share a page about your life!

Project Life: Week Nine

A week in the life.. the first week of March :) Marking a routine work week, including celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss and a weekend of hanging out around the house.

Being a slow week, I decided to include the album cover of one of my favorite bands - Lady Antebellum! Music is a big part of my life and this song is STILL at the top of my playlist so it deserved a spot ;)  Take a listen!

I've been meaning to document a typical sight in our house Monday-Friday.. our work bags plopped down on the floor. I *love* my personalized 31 tote bag that makes bringing home papers to grade a lil more bearable ;) This is a card from Doodlebug's new "Take Note" collection, embellished with those potty  people veneers and Paper Smooches alphabet stamps. Love how this turned out!

Never say it's a dull week around here, cause this boy will liven things up. Came downstairs one morning to find he'd pulled ALL the tissues out of the brand new box left on the coffee table. It looked like a BLIZZARD.

Is there anything better than a clean kitchen on a Sunday night? Love this sight. And I got to use my brand new Ali Edwards stamps that my Mom got me for my birthday! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life: Week Eight

Week 8 in the life :) Click to view larger:

It was this week, that my husband began building me a shelf for our downstairs bathroom that looks identical to one I'd pinned to my "home" Pinterest board.

He is truly a craftsman! More pics of the finished project in an upcoming layout.

This was the week that marked the 21st anniversary of me becoming a big sister for the first time. I slipped in a photo circa 1992 - that's my grandma, me, and baby brother.

Here's my grandma and I today:

And my brother and I:

We celebrated by taking him the casino. I love the gold stickles on this page! I need to remember to break those out more often.

Scroll down to see a traditional layout I made last week, too :)

You & Me Together

On my last post, I shared a pic of my hubby and I at a wedding at the beginning of this month. I used that same photo on a layout using the sketch at Artful Delight:

And side note, have you checked out Artful Delight's new online store? It's pretty neat! Love how you can scroll through all that's offered in the kits.

Here's my layout (sorry for the gloomy photo.. it's supposed to rain ALL week!)

I used ALL Echo Park papers and embellishments, including that great postage stamp frame - which is popped up:

Thanks for stopping by! I'm brushing off the cobwebs and posting 3 Project Life spreads, too :) Take a look!

Happy Birthday, Hubby!

My hubby is one of my biggest fans - always commenting about my projects, requesting cards he needs for different occasions, and never blinks an eye at my messy table !!

He had a birthday yesterday and I made him a card using the sketch at Artful Delight. When I first saw it, I knew I what I wanted to try.

MAY CARD SKETCH ASC #32

I used papers from My Minds' Eye "On The Bright Side".

I used my 1 inch circle punch to create the negative 7 spaces for my lil star punch. You can see the dimension here:

The sentiment is Paper Smooches :)  Hope you are having a great week. I'm recovering from a field trip with my first graders!

A Wedding Card

Tis the season again for weddings :) Tomorrow, we are celebrating the big "I Do" of my husband's friend and former co-coach of high school baseball back in the day.  I made this wedding card for the Anything Goes Paper Smooches challenge:

I actually combined 3 sets -- We Connect, Streamers, and Alphadots:

I love combining my stamp sets to create personalized cards.

I am really loving how versatile the Streamers set is.. and even MORE the awesome spring weather we should have for tomorrow's festivities.

TGIF!! ;)
