Since this month's June scrapbook challenge from Brenda was Father's Day inspired by this subway art:

and Father's Day hasn't happened yet - I decided to use some throwback pictures of my hubby's first father's day 3 years ago. I special ordered a onsie for our daughter that said "Daddy's Caddy" and took some pictures of her with his golf clubs. I printed them and had them framed for him - but hadn't scrapped them yet. I also used a photo from her 1st birthday (July) session of the 2 of them.

The journaling includes the phrase [number one dad] from the inspiration photo. I love this "oh happy life" collection from Amy Tangerine! I also used the Rochelle's monthly sketch:

Criss Cross Card :)

WOW! There are so many fun things happening this weekend on blogs and on Facebook for National Scrapbook Day. I am lucky to have a little bit of time today to join the fun :) I made a Criss Cross card for one of the challenges at Frosted Designs.

I love making this kind of card fold! I used papers from my Crate Paper "Restorations" 6x6 pad. I used a kraft card base inked in black.

Here's a close up of the belly band that holds the card together. I used that fun pinwheel flower from American Crafts with a Paper Smooches sentiment.  The recipient can slide it off to reveal the inside:

I used some of the border paper with the subtle pattern on the fuscia paper so I can write my message inside. I think this card will be for my bestie who is graduating grad school in a few weeks :) So proud of her. Thanks for stopping by today! :)

What Little Girls are Made of...

Is it Friday yet?? I've caught a serious case of spring fever with these 80 degree temps in March (probably from my first graders who think that summer is around the corner now.. how confusing!)

I loved working with Abby's sketch and the journaling challenge at ScrapFit. They inspired me to use this adorable picture of  my nieces and list what "what little girls are made of". Aren't they just the representation of "sugar and spice and everything nice"?? I used the new Neapolitan line from American Crafts, including that awesome date roller stamp :)

Cards Times Two :)

I created 2 cards tonight using sketches at Cards Positioning Systems:

The first one is a landscape fold card for Valentine's Day :)

I used an awesome calendar stamp set by Jillibean Soup to create my February scallop square, with a brad on the 14th ;) Papers are "Lost & Found: Union Square" by My Minds Eye.

The second card is a portrait style card using this sketch:

I used American Crafts' "Springtime" collection, including a fussy cut flower from their fabric paper. Loved working with that!

I'm also entering this card at Frosted Designs for using twine - that's "Caribbean" from The Twinery! What I wouldn't give to be on the beach right about now ;)

I embellished my layout with cuts from the Camping Critters cartridge.

My title was made with American Crafts "Thickers" - also on sale 25% at AWDML! A real steal!

In addition to Frosted Designs, I'm also entering this layout at Get Scrappy for using twine (I used AC fiber) and a cricut cut.

Say Cheese !!

I was so excited to feature American Crafts this month at A Walk Down Memory Lane.. their "Campy Trails" collection is PERFECT for my Colorado pictures. And when you take 1500+ pics, you have to make multi-photo layouts count :)

So I took this week's sketch at Let's Scrap and doubled the photos across the center.

Here's my layout!

I really love how it turned out! ;) I fussy cut the flags along the bottom and the trees along the top to create a border.  These buttons from the collection ARE stinkin' cute! lol!

I used my 1" circle punch on other patterned papers to make my embellishments across the stitched ribbon.

Golden Gate Bridge

I love skipping around in my scrapbooking and working on pages/memories as I feel inspired. When I saw the sketch at Artful Delight, I  knew it would be a nice way to showcase a 5x7 picture.

When I was at my LSS recently, I picked up some of the We R Memory Keeper's "Maple Grove" collection. The rich colors and touches of gold metallic I thought would be perfect for our fall trip to San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge!

I used my new "Honey" Thickers for the title. I outlined them in a black fine sharpie to add definition from the burgundy background. Then, I took my "Golden Rod" Stickles and glittered up the word 'golden'.

I love the embossed stickers from WRMK! I popped up the tree on foam and trimmed down the border, too.

Love and Dreams

I love the Abode collection from American Crafts.. the colors are so great together! I made a 2 page layout featuring our recent exterior renovations.

I used 2 different types of Thickers alphas and my cricut to make the title "A house is built with boards and beams. A home is built with love and dreams." I also used Thickers accents to bring out the white in the patterned paper.

A few buttons were the finishing touch to bring it all together! :)

Collage Print

I used Abby's sketch for my "collage print" challenge at Scrappin-N-Chattin. I love layouts with shaped backgrounds :)

I used an assortment of pics from my husband's birthday last year. The patterned paper strip of candles qualifies it for the "rainbow" challenge at My Pink Stamper, too. I used diamond stickles on a few of them.

Recognize the font? It's Gilligan's Island! LOL! I cut the title using my Sure Cuts A Lot/cricut.

Ruff day?

I am in *love* with this cartridge! Here's my latest card using Create-A-Critter.

I used American Craft's Metropolitan line - specifically the "Sushi Bar", "Tokyo", and "High Rise" patterned papers and coordinating solid colors. I also coordinated with these flowers/buttons in my stash. This is for their pet themed challenge!
