{{ hashtag dad life }}

My husband is such a good dad; so even if masculine pages aren't my jam - I had to make a page for the ridiculous snapchats I get when I'm away. This sketch from Let's Get Sketchy was perfect for the 3 smaller pics and journaling card I wanted to include:

I used my new Bella Blvd "Dad Style" for the page - working with a collection makes guy pages a little easier lol.

I'm so happy this story is told!

The Shake She Didn't Share

I couldn't wait to use the Bella Blvd Barnyard papers I got in the mail today, from Paper Issue's big birthday sale. I knew I had to scrap this adorable picture of my daughter with a death grip on her first vanilla milkshake. We were SUPPOSED to split it. But she wasn't sharing. Good thing I love her!!

I used one of the April sketches at Let's Get Sketchy.

Have a great weekend! I'm hoping to create a few more layouts :)

A Special Graduation!

I just finished my 12th year of teaching first grade. Do the math and you'll find my first students just walked across the stage in their caps and gowns - oh how they've grown into wonderful young men and women! A coworker (who also shared in the joy of her first class graduating) and I attended graduation and were SO proud to congratulate them all in person. I took my first grade class photo from 2004 and held it in this photo of my "little Nate". That bright smile has not changed, even though he's now a foot taller than me!

I used the awesome Bella Blvd "Star Student' collection - with Brenda's sketch:

I am also entering it into Rochelle's challenge:

I have those cute owls on my page :)
Thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend!

{Donut Worry. Be Happy}

I saw that phrase on Heidi Swapp's instagram and wish I'd seen it before I made this layout LOL. Oh well, "First Donut" it is!

I used the new Bella Blvd Valentine collection - I could not resist that donut paper!
I used the new sketch at the Scraproom Blog:

I would love the opportunity to work with their Flavor of the Month kit! Using a collection or kit makes my pages come together quickly.  I used a glassine bag with hidden journaling for the tag element on the top. The pics are cute but this quite the adventure to Dunkin Donuts and I had to document the hilarious (read: Toddler Mom) chain of events :)

I stuck to the sketch, but used 3 photos instead.. because, well.. these expressions were priceless. I cut a donut from the patterned paper base layer to make the "o" in donut. I love how the black matting makes everything pop on the fun patterned papers.

I'm also linking up at Paper Play Sketches.
Thank you or visiting, enjoy your week!

Hot Chocolate Invites :)

Are you enjoying the “Twelve Days of Christmas” series at A Walk Down Memory Lane? I’m loving all of the gift ideas!
My husband and I are planning to have friends over for a holiday get together.

It’s “B.Y.O.M.” … bring your own mug, of course! :)
I made these hot chocolate matchbooks for invitations:

(inspired by this tutorial on Mary's blog)
I used Bella Blvd’s “Christmas Wishes” collection. The sizing will depend on your hot chocolate packet, but here’s what I did: I cut my 8 1/2″ x 11″ in half lengthwise. You can make 2 matchbooks with one sheet! I scored my 4 1/4″ x 11 piece of cardstock at 1 ” and 7″.  I embellished with patterned papers, cardstock stickers, and ribbon.

The bottom half folds tucks under the flap. Here’s what it looks like open:

Super cute, right? :)

Check back tomorrow for more 12 days of Christmas fun. Don’t forget to take advantage of the daily deals in the A Walk Down Memory Lane store…. plus Bella Blvd products are 25% off all month long!

Have a great night :)

12 Days of Chirstmas Sales!

Good Saturday Morning :)
December already??

The store design team that I am on A Walk Down Memory Lane is celebrating a "12 Days of Christmas" sale. Each day through the first 12 days in December, they are offering BIG sales good for one day only. The best part is you can add items to your cart each day and order on the final day to save on shipping. How cool is that!

Each of the designers are going to be posting holiday projects throughout December to showcase these sale items and more. Since one of our featured manufacturers this month is Bella Blvd (love them!), I thought I would use their new "Christmas Wishes" line to create some post it note holders. They make great stocking stuffers!

Aren't they CUTE! I used lined 4x6 post it notes and coordinating red RSVP pens. here's a look at the inside:

I used trial and error (okay a lot of error ;) to make this template for them:

Here's a closer look:

And my favorite:

Be sure to stop by AWDML and take advantage of the 12 days of Christmas ;) Leave a link if you decide to make some of these; I'd love to check them out!

I'm sharing these post it note holders at Wee Memories ;)
