A puppy card :)

By brother is going to watching Jax overnight while my hubby and I are away for a much needed mini-vacation.  I made this thank you card for him (to hold pizza money of course lol) using the adorable doggie from Doodlecharms.

The sentiment is Scrappy Mom's Stamps! I believe the papers are DCWV Pet Shop from a few years past ;)

Have a great night!

BOO !!!

I have a super duper scary card for you today!!!

Cricut Cardz (now at Cardz TV) is having a "Spooks, Monsters, Ghouls and Globlins" challenge!

I used the little ghoul (and gravestone) from Simply Charmed:

I trimmed the card front of this portrait style card and punched a spider web border. Then, I added a sheet of acetate to the backside. I wanted my little ghoul to look like she was flying around, haunting :)

You can see how the card opens, the patterned paper from the Basic Grey "Eerie" 6x6 pad is on the base of the card. Here's another view:

Be sure to stop by Cricut Cardz and see what spookiness the rest of the DT cooked up AND link up your own scary cards ;)

The Paper Variety is having a Halloween challenge, too, so fly your broom over there and link up too! :) The prize is a REAL treat !!!

This little ghost is also visiting these challenges:

Carving Pumpkins

My cousin has two little ones, 4 and almost 2. You've seen layouts of them before. I was so excited to have them over yesterday to carve pumpkins. I had everything set up in the sunroom.. a drop cloth, several cute pumpkins just their size, spoons, and other fun carving and scooping things for them to use. The camera batteries were charged. I was ready for some great photo ops and fun times.

Then, the screaming started.

OMG. They *hated* it. As soon as the ooey gooey pumpkin guts came out, the kids went running. My cousin and I made the best of it and carved a couple pumpkins by ourselves and eventually the kids came back in the room to LOOK at them. Disappointed, but oh well. I got a couple pictures.

I used one on the Artful Delight sketch:

This is a picture of dear little Lucy, tentatively peering over my cousin's shoulder. Isn't her pumpkin awesome? She's got skills!

I used my new-to-me Martha Stewart punch around the page spider punch. I cut my pumpkins from The Digi Bistro's "Pick Your Poison" set and stamped a Peachy Keen face on them.

I'm also entering this layout in Amanda's "Get Scrappy" challenge.

Hope you had a fabulous weekend! I did ;)

Anniversary Card

It's hard to believe my 3 year wedding anniversary is a few weeks away! I went ahead and made a card for my hubby with the lastest sketch challenge at My Minds Eye for the special occasion.

MME_CardSketch_2011_10

I used my new Lost and Found 2 "Sunshine" collection. I actually used a wedding photo for the darker brown square and really love the result.

Recipe Challenge at TPV! :)

Good  morning! I love October and this time of year :) I'm so excited to carve pumpkins with my cousin and her two little ones this weekend. I hope to get some great pics for scrapbooking !!  This photo inspired this week's TPV {{recipe}} challenge:

Easy cheesy, right?!

You MUST got to THE PAPER VARIETY to see the fabulous layouts my team B designers created. I had to be different and make a treat bag :P

I used my Cosmo Cricket Matilda 6x6 pad... again. I can't help it! Love the colors and patterns!  I added a purple ribbon for contrast. I have my 3 buttons, 2 word sentiment..

.. and this adorable pumpkin!! She's cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge and has a Peachy Keen Face. I've been DYING to use this new set I just got.

I also punched the edge with my Martha Stewart spider punch. What is SWEETER... the topper or the candy corn?? AHH I can't decide! lol !!!

Hop over to THE PAPER VARIETY to enter your recipe projects!

Have a great day!

my honeybee

I loved this sketch at Creative Scrappers the moment I saw it... I love the "polaroid" look!

If you're a follower of my blog, you know I love country music and often use song titles/lyrics in my scrapbook layouts. As soon as I heard Blake Shelton's song "Honeybee" I *knew* it would be a layout ;)

And here's my layout featuring papers from Echo Park's "Country Drive"

And a close up of the dimension and the super cute bees (and the beehive) cut from the Create a Critter cartridge.

I really love how it turned out!

I'm also entering this at Quick Quotes for a one photo layout and at Scrapbook Circle for the journaling! :)

Have a great night!

OMG.. what's not to love!!

The card I created this week uses the Flower Frenzy set.

One of my favorite twine techniques is to wrap it around a scallop circle to create a cool embellishment.

Attitude of Gratitude

Happy Sunday! I can't believe we're half way through October already. I love this time of year!

I'm so happy my friend Tessa is hosting her November challenge again, called "Attitude of Gratitude"

Each day in November, she posts something for and shares it in her altered journal.  You can scroll down here to see her posts from 2010 and the mini album she kept her thankful thoughts in. Really cool!

This year, Tessa has an "attitude of gratitude" kit available in her etsy shop, Precocious Paper!

A Spider Card

I made a quick and cute (even if it DOES have a spider on it.. lol) Halloween card for the Cricut 360 blog hop.

I finally used my new Martha Stewart spider web border punch! Love it! This little spider is from the Halloween Town set at The Digi Bistro!

Have a great Saturday :)

think.. PINK!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness and the challenge at Cricut Cardz this week is "think pink"!

I used the current sketch at Card Patterns.

I made this inspirational card using the "Storybook" cartridge.

I kept it simple with a few layers and liquid pearls... easy to mail to a friend who needs encouragement.

I hope you stop by Cricut Cardz to see what the rest of the design team created and link up your own "think pink" cards!

Bushels of Fun at TDB! :)

Hi Friends! It's Tuesday which means another "This to That Tuesday" Challenge at The Digi Bistro! Cher designed an awesome autumn set for us to use this week to make a fall scenery card. This features a sneak peek of the "Autumn Harvest" file !!

I think this may be my most favorite card I've made with Cher's sets! I just love it!

I stamped my bushel basket with the "Woodgrain" background stamp from Hero Arts.  This is a MUST HAVE stamp!! All the apples are inked in brown, too.  The red patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl 6x6 pad.

Love that dimension!! Stop over to Cher's Studio to see what the rest of the design team created and link up your own fall scenery cards to win a $5 gift card to The Digi Bistro AND a Trick or Treat stamp set from Inkadinkado! :)

Happy Go Lucky Puppy!

Happy Sunday afternoon!! It's been a productive day here, working on some house projects, doing laundry, watching football and just finished a very fall card.

Poor Jax is feeling neglected; he hasn't been on my blog in a while. Here he is playing in the leaves last November:

Along with a few challenges and a dt call, he inspired the card I made today!!  My "Jax" is cut from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart at 4 inches. He's playing in the leaves on a 5" square card.

Ahh! Isn't it cute :)  I have been *dying* to play with my new Peachy Keen Faces "Happy Go Lucky Dog Face Assortment". My puppy sure is happy go lucky most days ;) The challenge at Peachy Keen's Let's Face it Friday is leaves.. um.. yep I think I got that covered! lol!

I cut all these leaves from the Create a Critter Cartridge at 1" and 1 1/4" in various fall colored scraps. I inked them up in brown and put some on pop dots for dimension.  My puppy is also on pop dots.  Faux stitching with my white gel pen was the finishing touch!

I'm also entering this fun little card at My Craft Spot for Kimberly's DT call! I just love her sentiment stamps and would be honored to use them on my cards, layouts, and other projects.  :) Thanks for considering me Kimberly!! I sure would be a "happy go lucky" girl if I was chosen ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great whats-left-of-the-weekend night! :)

Good morning! Welcome to the..

If you stopped here from Elsa's blog you're in the right place!! If not, you will want to start the hop at Sylvia's blog !!

I am sneaking the "gift card holder" from The Digi Bistro as my treat box base. When it cuts, it looks like this:

Super cool right? Perfect size for a small candy bar, pack of gum, or of course, a gift card ;) What a treat!!

I embellished with the ADORABLE Count Dracula from the "Pick Your Poison" set. You MUST check out this set! Too cute to spook I say.

Ahh! I love it; super simple but not much time to craft this week :(

Here's a view from another angle:

The sentiment (get it?? COUNT on you.. lol) is actually from the School Days set at Scrappy Moms!

I hope you are loving the treat box hop as much as I have enjoyed participating! Thanks Sylvia for inviting me!!

Your next stop on the hop is Monica!

I would love if you became a follower and left a comment, come by and visit again sometime :)

Also, be sure to "like" The Digi Bistro on Facebook to stay update on all the latest releases!

Have a great weeknd :)
