Ruff day?

Oh.. tomorrow is going to be a ruff day for sure! The first school day after spring break. Who will be more tired... me or the first graders? LOL! I decided to make one last card before hitting the sheets. This one for Peachy Keen's sketch challenge:

I used my favorite Happy Go Lucky dog faces, along with papers from MME's Lost and Found Portobello Road. The sentiment is from Scrappy Mom Stamps.

Have a great week!!

Happy Brrrthday!

I need to replenish my birthday card stash - and was inspired by the latest challenge at Birthday Sundae's to create a winter themed birthday card.

I cut my snowman from the this set at the Digi Bistro :) I peachified him with the "Winter Faces" set. I love the "punny" greeting! :)

In addition to Birthday Sundaes' challenge and the Peachy Keen link up, I'm also sharing with Cardz TV challenge to include ribbon, rhinestones, or rick rack :) The "other" 3 R's lol!

Frosty Card :)

I just had to play along with the latest Peachy Keen color challenge combo:

I decided to make a fun "all occasion" winter card:

I'm loving the polariod ;) That adorable snowflake was cut with my cricut. I had a hard time deciding whether to use one of my newsnowman faces or use a baby face. I'm glad I decided on the "Just Baby Faces" assortment :)

The sentiment was printed on my computer :) Both the blue layer and the peachy layer are embossed with the "Snowflakes" embossing folder.

I'm also sharing this card with My Craft Spot's "Winter Wonderland" challenge :)

Yesterday, this card was appropriate - 17 degrees. Today? OVER 50! What is with this wacky weather??
Thanks for stopping by today!

Recipe Challenge at TPV! :)

Good  morning! I love October and this time of year :) I'm so excited to carve pumpkins with my cousin and her two little ones this weekend. I hope to get some great pics for scrapbooking !!  This photo inspired this week's TPV {{recipe}} challenge:

Easy cheesy, right?!

You MUST got to THE PAPER VARIETY to see the fabulous layouts my team B designers created. I had to be different and make a treat bag :P

I used my Cosmo Cricket Matilda 6x6 pad... again. I can't help it! Love the colors and patterns!  I added a purple ribbon for contrast. I have my 3 buttons, 2 word sentiment..

.. and this adorable pumpkin!! She's cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge and has a Peachy Keen Face. I've been DYING to use this new set I just got.

I also punched the edge with my Martha Stewart spider punch. What is SWEETER... the topper or the candy corn?? AHH I can't decide! lol !!!

Hop over to THE PAPER VARIETY to enter your recipe projects!

Have a great day!

Happy Go Lucky Puppy!

Happy Sunday afternoon!! It's been a productive day here, working on some house projects, doing laundry, watching football and just finished a very fall card.

Poor Jax is feeling neglected; he hasn't been on my blog in a while. Here he is playing in the leaves last November:

Along with a few challenges and a dt call, he inspired the card I made today!!  My "Jax" is cut from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart at 4 inches. He's playing in the leaves on a 5" square card.

Ahh! Isn't it cute :)  I have been *dying* to play with my new Peachy Keen Faces "Happy Go Lucky Dog Face Assortment". My puppy sure is happy go lucky most days ;) The challenge at Peachy Keen's Let's Face it Friday is leaves.. um.. yep I think I got that covered! lol!

I cut all these leaves from the Create a Critter Cartridge at 1" and 1 1/4" in various fall colored scraps. I inked them up in brown and put some on pop dots for dimension.  My puppy is also on pop dots.  Faux stitching with my white gel pen was the finishing touch!

I'm also entering this fun little card at My Craft Spot for Kimberly's DT call! I just love her sentiment stamps and would be honored to use them on my cards, layouts, and other projects.  :) Thanks for considering me Kimberly!! I sure would be a "happy go lucky" girl if I was chosen ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great whats-left-of-the-weekend night! :)

You make me MELT!

I just love this week's sketch at Peachy Keen Stamps!

And I couldn't wait to pair it with my brand new Scrappy Mom's summer stamps!

I used my Simply Charmed cartridge. I just think it screams summer! Which is great because tomorrow it is supposed to be over 90 degrees here and it's our first grade FIELD DAY!

Yes, we'll be melting.. lol.

Oh! and I wanted to announce the winner of my blog hop candy!

Hello!

It's been a super busy week and weekend, but I've finally had time to return to my scraproom and play with my cricut!

The challenge over at Scrappy Mom Stamps is to use a cut from the Paisley cartridge, or something similar if you don't have it. I used this cute snail from Create a Critter, similar to one on Paisley.

I cut the postage stamp from Create a Critter too :) I embellished the snail with a Peachy Keen Face to give her some personality!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I made this quick card for my hubby today - so no big embellishments, ribbon, or frills ;)

Just the adorable, dancing leprechaun from Simply Charmed!

He definitely is my good luck charm! I'm so lucky to have him in my life and by my side :)

I'm linking this lil project up with Flaunt it Fridays and Fantabulous Cricut!

Have a great day!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #65

There is a really fun challenge this week at Cricut Cardz! This week we are creating cards that fit in a business size envelope - approx. 9x4".

I cut mine at 9" x 6 1/2" inches and scored at 4 inches. I used my Martha Stewart doily lace punch on shorter width.

I just love how it turned out! The little baby is cut with my New Arrival cartridge with an adorable Peachy Keen face. I embossed the green mat with my Cuttlebug swiss dots folder and my Paper Trey Ink sentiment with white embossing powder.

Head over to Cricut Cardz to see what the rest of the design team created and enter your tall cards today :)

Somebunny Special

It's downpouring and cold here in PA today, I thought I would make a very springy card to hopefully bring some warm weather my way ;)

I used the latest sketch from Peachy Keen Stamps:

I just love this little bunny on the Simply Charmed cartridge. I swapped out his face of course with an adorable Peachy Keen face. And I cheated a bit and instead of cutting out all of the pink tiny pieces, I chalked them ;)

I used my new "Color Me Happy" stamps from Emma at My Creative Time. I just love the fonts! They fit perfect in my new EK Success Photo Label punch.

Thanks for stopping by today! For a chance to win one of Emma's stamp sets be sure to check out the Paper Variety blog hop on THIS post :)

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #63

Good morning! There is a fun challenge going on over at Cricut Cardz! Create a St. Patrick's Day card with NO shamrocks!

I turned to my favorite new cartridge, Simply Charmed!

Isn't he the cutest? I used a Peachy Keen face and accented his little belt and button with my "Golden Rod" stickles.

Stop by and see what the rest of the design team created and enter the challenge :)

Birthday Card :)

I loved the card sketch at Peachy Keen stamps this week!

I wasn't sure what I was going to make, until I saw the new "Terrific Tuesday" challenge at Scrappy-Mom stamps! I was so excited! I just got the Simply Charmed cartridge (it's been on my wish list for A WHILE!) and without hesitation I whipped up this birthday card.

Of course in honor of these 2 challenges, I used a sentiment from Scrappy Mom's Everyday Greetings and a smiling face stamp from Peach Keen's Everyday Face Assortment :)

I think it turned out so cute! I can't wait to make more fun things with this cartridge.

Cupcake Explosion Box :)

My Pink Stamper is having a design team call for 2 open spots! I'm giving it a whirl with her pink, brown, and green color challenge. You can also choose one other color, I used a creme. A friend of mine is having a baby girl and wanted a creative way to share the baby's gender with family. So, I made a cupcake explosion box using my new-to-me (and current favorite) New Arrival cartridge.

The outside of the box - uses only brown, green and creme to keep it gender neutral. Each side has a green, scallop square with a letter in the word "baby" to resemeble blocks. These were cut at 3 1/4". I cut the "new arrival" using the circle feature key at 3" and put a piece of brown cardstock behind it. I punched the rim of the lid with my threading water Friskars punch and tied with green shimmery ribbon. Then..

When the lid is lifted ~ the box "explodes" revealing the pink cupcake and embellished inside! Surprise!

I am loving this pink, green, and brown combination ~ thanks Robyn for the color inspiration!

Here are a few close ups - all center cuts were done at 2 1/4", matted on a 2 1/2" creme circle, and layered on a 3 1/4" pink  scallop circle.

All pieces of the box include brown or white faux stitching.

The last 2 sides, I brought to life with some super cute Peachy Keen "baby face" stamps at 3/8".

The onsie is my favorite!

Once the cupcake is removed, in case you haven't realized it from all that pink  ~  "It's a girl!!"

Thanks for stopping by today. Good luck to everyone who is entering!
