I Dig You

I loved the sketch over at Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge blog:

I used the Woofers and Tweeters stamps set with my favorite doggie (who looks JUST like my puggle, Jax).  I made a cluster of the 3 icons in this set and white embossed them on black for the background. The white layer is popped up for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by! If you're on the East Coast like me, enjoy the snow :)

Project Life {Week2}

Happy Saturday! I am sharing my Week 2 of Project Life for the "Pinspire" challenge at Paper Issues:

The "pinspiration" board featured these photos:

This worked out perfect for this week because we had our first snow of the year and our first snow day!! (I'm a first grade teacher.. we love snow days more than children hehe!)

I blocked off a 6x12 panel for my snow day pictures and used the Simple Stories "Snow Fun" mini set:

I really love how it turned out!  Other things going on this week:

My daughter is VERY into playing with her babies.. love seeing her imagination grow!

On the title card, I added 2 photos of Daddy showing her how silly you look with Mrs. Potato Head lips :)

My poor baby got the stomach bug last Thursday :(  Here's photos of her either sleeping or having quiet time. About the only things we did for 3 days!

More milestones.. first time out.. longest 90 seconds of both our lives LOL!... first pillow pillow.. probably one of the last times she'll let me rock her to sleep (she just wants to curl up on her pillow now), and some mini photos of favorite things.

I am also linking up at Lasting Memories for scrapbooking "moments captured". Project Life is certainly all about capturing everyday moments!  And another link up at Paper Issues called "Say it Aint Snow outside" lol!
I hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! I'm so excited to start another year of Project Life.   Even though I'm still working on my 2013 and 2014 albums, I'm starting 2015 and making a resolution to document the previous week each week. As I have time, I'll go back and do a past page. Almost 2 years behind, why don't I throw in the towel you may ask? This is why:

As I'm trying to take advantage of Elmo's hypnosis and photograph my Week 1 layout, my daughter wedges herself between me and the table and SQUEALS in delight when she sees a photo of her and her daddy. Printed out, embellished, and journaled for her to trace with her tiny finger. That's why.

Remind me of this reasoning when I'm, somehow, again, fallen 6 more months behind, k? Deal.

Here's my Week 1 page, minus cute 18 month old. It's one page because Jan 1st fell on a Thursday.

My girl really misses playing outside everyday. On a day where it wasn't so windy and brisk, we bundled up and went to the playground for a 1/2 hour. She was in heaven and even climbed the steps to the slide by herself for the first time (standing up).

I *had* to print out some of my favorite Facebook pics of my team winning the wildcard game. Cowboys fan here. Please don't judge haha. And I'm currently in love with using glitter paper. Everywhere.

My girl's favorite card apparently - her and daddy (and puppy) reading. And a photo marking her 18 month milestone :)

I was inspired to get started on this page earlier this week because of the new challenge at Paper Issues "Popping the Cork". I thought documenting the first week of the new year seemed appropriate! You also needed to use Elle's Studio products. I went through my stash and found this awesome PL stamp set, as well as 2 sets of journaling cards from the Love You More and Penelope lines.

I'm also linking up at Simon Says Stamp for their "Something New" challenge, since I scrapped the new year :) Thanks for visiting today! Hope to be back soon to share more pages. Have a great weekend!
