Jaxon - the timeout dog

Wow, it's only Friday and I've taken on this week's Sketchy Thursday challenge! Woot woot! I must admit, I was a little intimidated by this one ... took away some of the key points of the sketch - the horizontal strips of paper, the diagonal photo placement, and the multi word title.

Here's my layout ~ my adorable troublemaker. I'm pretty sure on the day I snapped these pictures he had just knocked over the trash can in the office and had a field day! Once Dave caught him, he goes though the timeout HAHA and this happens every time!

I really love how this all came together! I used DCWV Animal Crackers stack for the strips of paper - the circle paper is very glittery. The title is cut from my Cricut/Sure Cuts A Lot with the Juice ITC font (a new favorite). I used a file folder to cut my little journaling tabs.

And then cut the doggie from Create A Critter at 3 1/4". I spent about a half our cutting his layers in various colors and piecing him together to look like Jax - but nothing was really working so I just cut him as he is in the handbook. Still adorable. I used some lime stickles on his collar to bring out the glitter in the patterned paper.
