This Kiss

This video.. and this sketch... and this etsy shop... inspired this layout.. about this kiss :)

My hubby and I sharing a secret smootch on our wedding day. In real life, the sky in the picture is a a deep blue like the cardstock.. so pretty!

A close up of the chipboard letters - I used diamond stickles. My new favorite bling! Also, you can see the dimension in the luxe blooms.

Love Bandit

Playing with my new "Love Bandit" collection and this 2 page
sketch from Bo Bunny.

I need a blinky on my blog like they have on car mirrors "Layouts are less crooked in real life than they appear here". LOL!

Anyway, here's the first page; love using the die cut papers. This is Jax giving me his Valentine's Day card - it plays the Snoopy theme song and he barks along with it! I know, I know, until I have children I will scrap things like this (and probably still will.. hehe).

The second page also has my sweetheart and I, plus the pretty pink roses he gave me. Love the journaling cards that come with this line!

Here they are together (and a little straighter) ;)

Thanks for looking! More snow on the way and a crop planned for the weekend. I hope to get a lot accomplished :)

Why I Scrapbook

I've been kind of stuck lately with layouts... shifting paper and pictures back and forth on my desk all week. My husband asked me tonight "why do you scrapbook?" As I rattled off why I love this hobby, I decided to use that as journaling for this layout and it came together so quick!

I used Sketchy Thursday's March guest design team sketch. Another part of the requirements was to use an 80's theme, with a hot pink/black/white color scheme.

I've had these Love, Elsie papers for a while. I bought them at a local scrapbook store because I thought they were so neat. This was the perfect challenge for them. It reminds me of the 80's black lights and loud/bold colors. I used white, black and pink for the journaling circles at the top.

I love how it turned out! Very different, but that is why I love sketches and challenges - it inspires me to stretch my creativity.

One of my resolutions was to take my scrapbooking to the next level. Guest designing for Sketchy Thursday would an awesome first step! :)

Anniversary Card

I received an custom Etsy request yesterday for an anniversary card. She bought her husband Jeff Dunham tickets (who my hubby and I love). So I incorporated the same quote I used on my

Inside I made a library pocket to hold the tickets and a piece of coordinating cardstock for her personalized message.

I hope she loves it as much as I do :)
I love making custom projects, drop me an email or leave a comment if you have something special in mind.

Where is Jax?

Finally free! All shoveled/snowblowed out with the help of awesome neighbors. No where to go just yet :) So I'm enjoying my second snow day and scrapbooking some more!

I used 2 sketches for my 2 page layout. The first one is from Stuck on You sketches. I mirrored it and also used a shape instead of the squares to coordinate with my second layout.

The journaling explains how my puppy Jax just loves to lay on anything fleece and drag blankets around the house. I was scrappin' in the office and he was on the futon (first picture). Then he was gone and so was the blanket! I found him in the living room (second and third pics).

For the second page, I used this sketch from Sketch Inspiration.

When I went back to the living room a second time, I couldn't find him anywhere! After looking all over and calling his name; this little black nose poked out from under the big heap of fleece. LOL!

Here they are together. This layout is also for a monthly challenge at Scrappin-N-Chattin for using a question as a title.

White out :)

Whiteout conditions here in Pennsylvania. Probably 4 feet outside my scraproom window. That is my neighbors mailbox across the street that you can barely see, let alone the road in between us LOL.

Here it is up over the front windows.

Anyway, you can bet I have been scrappin' :) Working on Christmas '08 layouts right now.

Using Abby's wonderful sketch. I did this first page also for the 2 colors challenge; using only black and white.

I made our families wedding scrapbooks for Christmas, as we were just married Nov. 08. That was a crazy idea since we only got our pictures back the middle of December :)

My husband says that scrapbooking your scrapbooking takes scrapbooking to a new level :)

Then I used this sketch from Cosmo Cricket with my new Jolly By Golly collection.

I like how it turned out :) This is my brother opening his gifts Christmas morning.

My hubby and I being surprised by a Wii from Santa (aka Mom hehe).

I like how they look together.

Stay warm if you are in the middle of the Blizzard of 2010.

Oh how I would love to win a Cuttlebug~! :)

See details here.

Snowed in and Scrappin'

My blog design is perfect for the weekend. We are snowed in in Pennsylvania. 2 feet of snow and counting. Thank goodness our plans of going away for the weekend were cancelled and we are homebound. Here is our back deck. Jax was contemplating jumping off the side as he usually does. But luckily he came to his senses, as it was SO deep I would have had to go down after him and with a broken foot that isn't happening :)

After being home from school early, I added a page to this one that I did earlier in the week. It is our tour bus we took in Hawaii to the Pali lookout (which goes with this one).

Since I'm doing the layout every day challenge at Scrappin-N-Chattin these pages are simpler than usual, but I still love them. Reminds me of my early days of scrappin' when I did a page in a half hour using just cardstock, pics, and little else.

I have SO many pics, I decided to stack some of them to flip up. I scored them with my bone folder at 1/2 inch and attached with an eyelet. I cut a rectangular hole in my page protector so they can flip up in the album easily.

Here they are together.

My husband was so sweet to call me on his way home from work, so I could print a one hour photo order to our Walmart yesterday. He picked it up (with other snowed in essentials hehe) so I would have plenty to choose from when scrappin' this weekend. What to work on next?

Graduation Celebration

My scrappin' group is doing an every day layout challenge (EDLC) is month. For my first 2 days, I worked on my graduation pictures. Since this was for my Master's I didn't want to do a second red/blue graduation cap themed pages.

So I used Cosmo Cricket's Boyfriend papers - love the ledger paper, test taking sheets, and of course the pencils.

My awesome family..

And both - Used the sketch last week from Let's Scrap.
