Happy Boy!

Whew! It's been such a busy (last) weekend and week that I haven't been able to make a layout in quite a few days.. felt nice to create with the Artful Delight sketch.. even if I am down to the wire in entering! lol!

This is my BFF's little cutie, Braydon :)

I used My Mind Eye's "Fine and Dandy" patterned paper and chipboard - that I've been saving for a while :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week :)

Good morning ! Today is my day to share a project on the Quick Quotes blog :) This month we are featuring our Powder Puff Chalk Inks! One of my favorite things about these inks is you can customize just about anything to coordinate with your Quick Quotes projects!

Exhibit A ;)

Using my "splat mat", I inked a plain white doily with our Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalk Ink (a MUST have). These inks are the perfect size for easy handling, yet so juicy and rich you can cover A LOT of real estate. Instant transformation!

Now my "Plain Jane" white doily is a all dressed up and a perfect match for the Copper Kettle collection. Right now, I'm hooked on making tags :) I love adding these to gifts, layouts, cards, and well... anything!

I covered my tag with the Copper Kettle 200 patterned paper, inking the edges with the same Mocha Mama ink. I layered my doily in the bottom right corner.

Next, I added my sentiment, fussy cut from the Copper Kettle 500 phrases paper. Bling was the finishing touch to bring this tag together!

What have you altered with inks??

Happy inking!

Good morning, everyone! We have a new challenge over at The Paper Variety.  Diana has created a sketch for us! I just loved it:

My layout came together pretty quickly!

I used the Doodlebug "Birthday Celebration" collection available at A Walk Down Memory Lane. It was perfect for these quick photos of my hubby enjoying his birthday dessert at home last week :)

Don't those strawberries look delicious :)

We have a fun prize if you play along too! It's the "Sunkissed" collection by Bo Bunny:

You can link up your entries HERE. Be sure to stop by The Paper Variety over the next few days for design team inspiration, including guest DT Diana's take on her sketch! :)

Have a great week!

Quick Quotes: Mother's Day Inspiration

Good morning! We are sharing Mother's Day at the Quick Quotes blog this month. Are you in need of a card for tomorrow? Look no further than our Dreamscape collection. I just love the purples in this line; the patterns and colors are very elegant.

When layering papers, I love using our Powder Puff chalk inks to ink the edges and bring all pieces of the project together. I used "Very Berry" on each of my layers.

Don't forget to grab your Powder Puff chalk inks when you use your stamps as well! I inked up my Mother's Day sentiment with my favorite, Mocha Mama.

Happy (early) Mother's Day to all of the mothers, mothers to be, daughters, and fabulous women who care for so many in our lives :)

Sole Sisters ;)

Love this collection from Imaginisce! I used the sketch at Frosted Designs for my layout.

This is my BFF and I teaching summer school 2 years ago. This will be the first summer that I don't participate... but lots of BIG {well little lol} things going on here to prepare for! :)

Grandma's card

Don't forget grandma's this Mother's Day! I designed mine with Artful Delight's card sketch and Frosted Design's bingo challenge:

For my bingo I used the bottom row of circles (polka dot pp), quote (from JBS pea pod parts), brads (corner of my sentiment), and chipboard (I used the burgundy stickles on the raw chipboard heart).

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you've had a great weekend! :)

Pretty Momma :)

I love this new set from Paper Smooches! I bought it just for the rose stamp.. and I made my first card for their "cardstock only" NSD challenge today:

I love teal and pink together. I popped up the teal cardstock to reveal the paper pieced rose on the base layer:

I'm sure you'll be seeing more things with this set soon :)

I'm also sharing this card at The Cuttlebug Spot's "flowers for Mom" challenge!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Criss Cross Card :)

WOW! There are so many fun things happening this weekend on blogs and on Facebook for National Scrapbook Day. I am lucky to have a little bit of time today to join the fun :) I made a Criss Cross card for one of the challenges at Frosted Designs.

I love making this kind of card fold! I used papers from my Crate Paper "Restorations" 6x6 pad. I used a kraft card base inked in black.

Here's a close up of the belly band that holds the card together. I used that fun pinwheel flower from American Crafts with a Paper Smooches sentiment.  The recipient can slide it off to reveal the inside:

I used some of the border paper with the subtle pattern on the fuscia paper so I can write my message inside. I think this card will be for my bestie who is graduating grad school in a few weeks :) So proud of her. Thanks for stopping by today! :)
