Why does LIFE keep getting in the way of my PROJECT LIFE album? HAHA! Seems like an oxymoron doesn't it. Truthfully, life has been BUSY.. but.. in a one weekend I was able to "catch up" on the last 2-3 weeks. I love that! Here's a look at Week 2:
I am loving using a variety of configurations for my pages, I am using Photo Freedom by Echo Park. You can find the different varieties HERE. The left page has 3 4x6 pockets and 1 6x12 pocket. I struggled with how to keep my album about REAL LIFE, while sharing it with (everyone??) and keeping some things personal. I will always keep the details of our adoption private; so this is my solution :)
For my "week" card, I used papers from My Minds Eye "Lost and Found 2", a fussy cut viewfinder from Echo Park "Note to Self", and some thickers :)
My husband *finally* found his dream truck. He SO deserves it too; providing for our little family and always putting us first. I wanted to do a masculine insert.. so I used tire tread patterned paper Those fun alphas are from October Afternoon "Midway" collection. I *love* the computer printed journaling telling the story of this eventful day.
I included a picture of his license plate (that says TRUCK.. lol) and new insurance card with the details of the vehicle that I wouldn't know otherwise! ha! The bottom subtitle is what he posted on Facebook, in reverence to THIS country song :)
Here is the 2nd page. I am keeping my weekends together so my weeks run from Monday-Sunday and I really like that. This particular weekend, we had my bestie's 1 year old overnight because her mother-in-law came down with the flu. We had a blast, taking him to an agriculture expo to see lots of animals!
This is my favorite card this week. Braydon on my hubby's shoulders, just pure joy on both their faces. The embellishments are pieces of Echo Park's "Happy Moments" collection.
Is there anything better than bath time?? I was more soaking wet on the outside of the tub, than he was inside LOL! I wanted to put a paper strip across the bottom of the photo to protect privacy, and loved this "These are the days" border from the same EP collection. I thought about cutting it in thirds and having it go across all 3 pictures at the bottom, but it wasn't going to look right. So, I adhered it to the outside of the protector :) I love it!
Here, you can also see more journaling printed on vellum so the adorable farm patterned paper still shows! All these fun stories of the week, told and documented on 2 pages. Excited for a downtime day at home to work on weeks 3 and 4 :)
I'm sharing this layout with Kerys's challenge to incorperate this word art theme (pretty sure Project Life covers that ;)
Thanks for stopping by!!
