{My Creative Time} Project Life 2014: Week 4

I am so honored to be a guest designer today on the My Creative Time blog!! I LOVE Emma's stamps and dies. She just released "Bracket Sentiments", which are perfect for Project Life!

Bracket Sentiments Stamp Set

I used them (and many more products) on my 2014: Week 4 pages:

I used the "worst day ever" sentiment on the top of this card, journaling the worst (coldest!!) day ever to have bus duty at school. It was FREEZING. I stopped for hot chocolate for my team and I to battle the brutal temps.  I also stamped the coffee cup from "You Are Here".

I used the silverware from the "We Are Here" set and the "I Was Thinking" sentiment with the awesome arrows in the set to start my journaling for this pic of my girl and I out to eat. I was thinking it was a BAD idea to go during her fussy time of night but she proved me wrong :) She was so content watching everyone! And loved sitting in the high chair for the first time (at a restaurant).

After 5 years of my wedding band sliding around, I decided to bite the bullet and have my rings soldered together. I was more apprehensive to be without them for 3 weeks than to actually have them done. I'm SOO glad I did!

I stamped the "this week" sentiment on the Stitched Curly Label Die. She loves things that open/close!

I love how this card turned out LOL! The controller 3x4 card is from Echo Park. A play on words with the game "Call of Duty" makes me laugh especially because she's looking up at him like come on dad! Let's play!

I used the "potty people" from the "We Are Here" set to make a father/daughter icon. Love this pic of them the day our new mattress was delivered ;)

How beautiful are these sentiments embossed in white? I used this one to start my journaling about how my hubby spoils me :)

Probably my fav card on this layout. My beauty saying "hahaha you thought I was TIRED?!" So cute in her PJs. The card is from Pebbles and I added the scallops and hearts to match. I love my tiny attacher!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you come back to visit and see more of my Project Life pages. Remember to check out Emma's blog at My Creative Time.. you will be SO inspired by her, her team, and her products.

Have a great week!!

Project Life 2014: Week 3

Another week in the 2014 books... 3rd week of January.

The week my baby girl was really sick :(  2 days at home and lots of family time. So I incorporated one of the new Simple Stories "Homespun" collection cards for my week card.

We tried a new solid food.. SQUASH! I love how this card turned out with the instagram photo.

And this is why I'm only on week 3... I wanted to document her first tooth coming in; but could NOT get a good pick of that little pearly white for the life of me. So, I decided just to make my "first tooth card".  I diecut the tooth from the Baby Steps cricut cart, stamped her with a Peachy Keen face and added the sequin bow from Freckled Fawn. Yep, 2 hours later here's the first tooth card ;)

So the cough got a lot worse as the week went on and a doctor appoint revealed she had the early stages of PNEUMONIA. Cue new momma panic! Is it wrong to say I love how this card turned out? lol.  I got that first aid button at a blood drive. Talk about finding inspiration everywhere!

Luckily, the meds kicked in and after 24 hours she was up playing and acting like her usual happy self. My awesome hubby insisted I go out with my bestie and get some fresh air and adult interaction, even though she was still sick. He did a great job taking care of her (and me!) and sent me this super cute text of "our kids". I used my Nestabilities to diecut the pic and stickled the edges in gold.

I hope you are having a good week! We are half way there :)

Let Your Heart Be Your Compass

I just loved the sketch over at Scrap Our Stash. You also needed to use a heart patterned paper, arrows, and a heart embellishment. Check, check, check ;)

I used a favorite photo of my hubby and daughter. I printed it 5x7 and then cropped it 5 inches square to layer on my polariod frame.

I was thrilled to use my new Simple Stores Homespun papers I just ordered. I love the more masculine colors for page, even though it has hearts ;)

I needed something for the top right corner and couldn't find anything in my stash that I liked (please tell me I'm not the only one with all these awesome supplies but "nothing" that works lol). So I looked up the collection's diecut sheet and fell in love with this camera, then kicked myself for not ordering it too. After coming to my senses, I made my own :) I love how it turned out!

The journaling/title for this layout is based on my latest favorite Lady Antebellum song "Compass". You must give it a listen (and the video rocks too!):

Have great weekend!! :)
