But today, I finally took the plunge. I scrapbooked my first wedding layouts. I have that complex that I'm going to find the *perfect* embellishment or stamp after I scrap the most important pictures to me. Of course, I wanted to do the album, but I was feeling too stressed about it until now.
The sketch over at http://52sketches52weeks.ning.com/ caught my eye. I knew I had the perfect circle background paper stashed in my "wedding scrapbook stuff" drawer. Then, I remember my friend April { http://scrapperforever.blogspot.com } telling me about these cool paper doilies at the Dollar Tree. I knew that would be perfect for the inside circle. I began planning it out in my head.
My summer scrapbooking group meets Tuesday nights and I decided I was going to do it! I did that sketch and a 2 pager that I just picked up the paper for. Here's a peek....
I bought this album at Target right before we got married. It came with a bunch of stickers, quotes, vellum, and patterned paper, too. Unfortunately, it was all sage green and white so that will be saved for another project or perhaps my own blog candy?
This is the layout from 52 Sketches.. wow, I get misty just looking at it! LOL. The burgandy brads around the white doily were a last minute addition, that makes the flowers just pop and adds a splash of color to the background. The brad in the middle of the flower I borrowed from my friend Tara! It fits *perfectly*. I love scrapbooking with those girls! So many good ideas and supplies and sharing and "ooooohing" just gets you motivated.
And finally, the 2 pager that I believe will be the first ones (following an opening page with invitation and church bulletin) in the album. The background paper is so glittery and gorgeous! I cut the heart out with an exacto knife and put the picture behind. The black letters and "love" are from Me & My Big Ideas and the pink letters are "Smoothie" thickers from my friend Sandi!
I'm on a roll, but told myself I'm only going to add to this album when the mood hits me. I don't want to make a deadline (like try to finish before 1st anniversary!) or rush it.
Thanks for sharing my eventful scrapbooking evening. I would love comments!

Suzanne, I'm so glad you finally got the chance to do some wedding pages...I know how long you've been wanting to. Girl, they are both so amazingly beautiful!! I really love the 2 pager...it's absolutely perfect. What an amazing album (or should I say albums, lol?!?) you'll have when you're done. ;)

I agree with April. Both are beautiful, and I am looking forward to seeing the next ones. You are an inspiration! Perhaps this will be the Autumn that I start scrapping my Autumn wedding.

Isn't it fun to go back and realize how much has changed and to realize some things have stayed the same? Thank you so much for linking up and helping me to celebrate my blogaversary!
