Operation: Playground

I went to a small crop yesterday afterschool and made this 2 page layout for Scrappin' N Chattin's "papercut" challenge. You were to use a sheet of patterned paper and cut some of the images out and use as embellishments somewhere else on the page.

I thought DCWV's Green Stack was perfect for this challenge. Love these little critters. The pictures are of my husband helping his friend put together their playset! Talk about a job and a half :)

I used a block style to use multiple photos (which were already busy) to simplify the layouts. I used the blue patterned paper and green cardstock alternately as title and journaling spot. The screws are actually little brads! Too cute.

This page mirrors the first page. I used a Jolee's embellishment - which is almost the exact same design! I cut the grass using the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge on my cricut at 1 1/2 inches.

Here is a closeup of the embellishments:

Here is how they look together!

Thanks for looking! :)

I can't get over the little brads that look like screws!! Where did you find them? Also, my next purchase is going to be that green stack, it's too cute!

So, I think it would be interesting to know how much time you spend on each layout. Can that be a challenge? :)

Good job!
