Lucy's Birthday Card

Happy Saturday! I hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend. I am :)

I had SO much fun hanging out with my family on Thursday.. especially this little cutie.

Lucy is my cousin's daughter and she is turning 2 next weekend. I decided to work on her birthday card today.

The Basic Grey blog is having a "go bold with color" challenge. I just love the bold colors in the "Hello Luscious" collection.  I used papers and a border from the 6x6 line on my card:

Isn't she cute?! I used my new Peachy Keen "Wide Eyed Kids" face stamps. Oh man these are a new favorite! so cute!

I added 2 flower brads for her jumper to bring out the bold yellow mat. I also gave her stud earrings as Lucy just got ears pierced as well :)

I'm sharing this card with 2 ladies celebrating:

Design Team Call :)

Good morning everyone! (It's still morning by 10 minutes here on the East coast LOL)

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Did anyone brave the crowds and shop till they drop?

I did some online shopping from the comfort of my couch in my PJs ;) hehe. My husband on the other hand has been gone since 11pm  last night before going to work today! I hope he found some good deals!

Anyway, I wanted to let all my followers know that my challenge blog The Paper Variety is having a design team call! I would love to see some of you apply. :)

My Challenge Blog!

The details are on THIS post.  Send us your app! I would love to work with you next year.

I Love My....

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! :) I already blogged my more sentimental "thankful" layout (see it HERE). Today, I'm blogging about a more frivolous thanks ;) My second love lol.

My iPhone.

This is by far my favorite gadget (covering my cricut's ears) that I've owned. It's so neat! Keeps me connected to my family/friends, it's fast (to my husband's jealousy lol), it's fun - and it's hot pink. What is not to love?

I used Fancy Pants' "Summer's End" papers and chipboard on this layout. I embellished my heart mat with the Martha Stewart "doily lace" punch. I really like the look of the pleated edge.. and it was easier than I thought to do! :)

I think the Rootbeer Float Thickers ar emy favorite. Love the chunky font.

I'm sharing this layout with The Studio and ScrapFit.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)

Handsome Braydon

Whew! 2 layouts in 1 day? You bet! What a great Sunday afternoon for football and scrapbooking :)

The second layout I made today features my bestie's handsome son, Braydon. I'm making a scrapbook for her and she recently had professional pictures taken! I'm in heaven! :)

I used the latest sketch at My Minds Eye (and the color brown):

The gorgeous My Minds Eye Lost and Found II "Breeze" collection is perfect for little boy photos.

~Sigh~ isn't he precious???  Click the photo to see larger view. I loved working with these papers. I cut A and B side patterned paper strips in varying widths and lengths to create this trendy ribbon border. I curled the edges for added dimension.

The title diecut (fussy cut from one of the patterned papers) is perfect for this little man!

Be sure to stop by My Minds Eye and take a look at the rest of the enteries.. just beautiful!

Thanks for visiting today :)
Have a great night!

So Thankful

Have you been following my friend Tessa's "Attitude of Gratitude" series? So powerful!

Pinned Image

That's sort of how our life has been going lately.. rainy. But, still  so much to be thankful for. Starting first, with my hubby Dave. We just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary.

He is a constant source of support, comfort, and sunshine on my rainy days. I had to create a layout to show my thanks and appreciation for him.

I used the luscious, traditional colors of fall from the Bo Bunny "Forever Fall" collection (available at AWDML 25% off through November!).

I love the texture the burlap adds (a gift from my friend Theresa.. thanks!).

I cut those realistic leaves from patterned paper and cardstock from the same collection using the silhouettes on the A Child's Year cricut cartridge. I embellished the leaf mat with my Martha Stewart "doily lace" punch, too.

The wood alphas are my *favorite* new product.. available from Pink Paislee. I dressed them up with some gold pearls.

Thanks for visiting today! If you aren't already, I'd love if you became a follower. I'll be having a giveaway soon (I'm close to 500 followers!)

THANKS!! :)

Good morning! Oh my goodness is Thanksgiving really next week!??!!? ~insert panic here~ Where does the time go? Which brings us our latest challenge at The Paper Variety! This week is all about being THANKFUL.

Emma from My Creative Time is sponsoring this week's challenge with a fun stamp set!

Here's the card I made this week:

I have been wanting to make a slimmer card with a banner that went "over the edge" for a while. I really like how it turned out! I used scraps on my desk from a layout I made last week using We R Memory Keeper's "Maple Grove" fall line. Love when I can do that ;)

Stop by TPV and see what the rest of the designers created and link up your own THANKS project!

Wonders

Last year at this time I was in San Francisco celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary. I love that my husband loves to travel and I love scrapbooking our trips! One of the highlights of that vacation was seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. I did one layout about it already, right as we were crossing over:

I had a few more pics from a distance I wanted to scrap and this sketch at Frosted Designs was perfect for it:

It will go next to the above layout in the album, so I used the same We R Memory Keepers "Maple Grove" collection and embellishments.. and even the same alphas.. glad I found those! :)

It's dark and dreary here so please excuse the light flash on the top corner. I really like how this came together! I journaled facts about the famous suspension bridge around the frame, including that it's one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

 Pretty cool!

Have a great weekend :) We're headed to the mountains for our 3rd anniversary this weekend. Stay tuned for the layouts!

Thanksgiving Already?!

I can't believe it'll be here in a few weeks. Where did the time go?! The new challenge at Cricut Cardz is "We're So Thankful".. create a Thanksgiving card using a card feature :)

I don't have any cartridges with a card feature that doesn't cut out a piece of the card for a particular theme; so i welded this bracket shape in my Sure Cuts A Lot to create my own card shape. Easy peasy!

The turkey is from Simple Charmed, with a sentiment from SRM stickers.

Stop by Cricut Cardz to see what the rest of the DT created and link up your own thankful cards!

I'm also entering this card at My Craft Spot EAD Designs Color Challenge and The Cuttlebug Spot's anything goes relaunch :)

Thanks for stopping by!

It's my favorite time of year.. the crisp fall air, the leaves changing colors, the time change with darker nights and brighter mornings :) You can imagine my excitement at Bo Bunny's autumn release "Forever Fall".  I couldn't wait to use it!

The card sketch I chose for this week is from Card Patterns:

And here's my take on it:

I love the pop of teal in many of the fall collections this year.

Here's a closer look:

Bo Bunny is one of our featured manufacturers at A Walk Down Memory Lane! Enjoy 25% throughout November :)
