I Took The Plunge!
But today, I finally took the plunge. I scrapbooked my first wedding layouts. I have that complex that I'm going to find the *perfect* embellishment or stamp after I scrap the most important pictures to me. Of course, I wanted to do the album, but I was feeling too stressed about it until now.
The sketch over at http://52sketches52weeks.ning.com/ caught my eye. I knew I had the perfect circle background paper stashed in my "wedding scrapbook stuff" drawer. Then, I remember my friend April { http://scrapperforever.blogspot.com } telling me about these cool paper doilies at the Dollar Tree. I knew that would be perfect for the inside circle. I began planning it out in my head.
My summer scrapbooking group meets Tuesday nights and I decided I was going to do it! I did that sketch and a 2 pager that I just picked up the paper for. Here's a peek....
I bought this album at Target right before we got married. It came with a bunch of stickers, quotes, vellum, and patterned paper, too. Unfortunately, it was all sage green and white so that will be saved for another project or perhaps my own blog candy?
This is the layout from 52 Sketches.. wow, I get misty just looking at it! LOL. The burgandy brads around the white doily were a last minute addition, that makes the flowers just pop and adds a splash of color to the background. The brad in the middle of the flower I borrowed from my friend Tara! It fits *perfectly*. I love scrapbooking with those girls! So many good ideas and supplies and sharing and "ooooohing" just gets you motivated.
And finally, the 2 pager that I believe will be the first ones (following an opening page with invitation and church bulletin) in the album. The background paper is so glittery and gorgeous! I cut the heart out with an exacto knife and put the picture behind. The black letters and "love" are from Me & My Big Ideas and the pink letters are "Smoothie" thickers from my friend Sandi!

Sunday Sketch

I just love that metallic blue. It was $1.05 for one sheet but worth every penny! I might have to pick up a few more sheets next time I am in Hershey. I dusted off my old Stampin' Up stamps for this one. The set is Vivid Greetings. The metallic silver ribbon is leftover from the tag on the layout. I love this idea of scraps into cards - it came together so quick and looks so cute!

Procrastinating
You know how when you go "window shopping" and don't have money to spend ~ you find all those super cute things you HAVE to have. But, when you have the money and go shopping ~ nada! You can't find a single thing that's worth buying.
That's how I feel today, a lazy Sunday at home with my boy. All the time in the world to scrap ~ and I'm just shifting things around on my desk. But you know when I am at school tomorrow, I'm going to have all kinds of creative ideas bouncing around! That's how it goes right?
So I leave you with *incredible* blog candy to help boost your creativity today. I know it helped me! http://butterflykisseswithlove.blogspot.com/2009/08/its-finally-here-blog-candy-time.html Thanks Arlene for the chance to win! She has the most beautiful mini-albums. Just what I need to get inspired on my sketch layouts I wanted to finish today. 1 1/2 down and 1 1/2 to go! :)

Anticipating an Anniversary
As August is around the corner, I am anticipating our 3rd anniversary of togetherness. I made this mini album for him August 11, 2007 featuring photos of the two of us throughout our first year of dating.
I don't think I've looked at since, although he has it lovingly displayed on his desk shelf. Here's a peek:
