First Grade

One of the monthly challenges at Scrappin n Chattin is scrapbook a "first"... first date, first house, first child; etc. I decided to scrapbook my first grade classroom. Last school year, I decided to make a safari/jungle theme and have been slowly adding to it. My favorite thing are the curtains I made to hide my shelving in the bottom right photo.

Except for the vinyl thickers (does anyone else have a problem with them sticking?), all products are by Reminisce.

Here is how they look together; simple and I hope not too busy. :)

Thanks for looking! Lots posted this weekend, scroll down to see more of what I've been working on.

So cute! I would love to be a first grader in your room! I have stopped buying vinyl thickers :(. But for the ones I have and want to use up, I do this: make them totally unsticky by rubbing them on my jeans or with a little bit of baby powder, then use another adhesive to add them to my page. It's extra work, but I hate not to use the ones I have.

That is an energetic layout that reflects so perfectly what first grade is like. Great job, dude. You always inspire me.

And I love the look of the blog, too!
