Squeezing in some scrapping.

Crafting on a school night?! Unheard of lol. I was so excited to put my work aside for the evening and play in my scraproom. I made a few projects for Artful Delight's birthday blog hop.
First, the sketch challenge:
I made a quick and simple layout using some Echo Park "Splash" paper and "Summertime" alphas. These are some funny candids my hubby took of us on an escalator at the aquarium :)

Next, the tic-tac-toe challenge:

I used the "make a card", "use your scraps", and "light pink" combo. The scraps were leftover papers from my Basic Grey "Sweet Threads" 6x6 pad from this card.

Aren't these 4x4 note cards cute?

Saving my favorite for last, the color challenge: kraft, pink, and white.

I'm in love with this card! I broke out my classic butterfly Stampin Up! wood mounted set and embossed it on the pink patterned paper. Those are liquid pearls on either side of the sentiment (and also on the above notecards). A new addiction!!

Thanks for stopping by tonight.

Happy Owl-O-Ween :)

Good morning! Welcome to a fun, new Cricut Cardz challenge at Cardz TV. This week we are using an owl cut from any cartridge to make a Halloween card. If you don't have it already, this challenge is just the push you need to get Hoot 'n Holler! This lite cartridge is a must have if you ask me. I thought since I had "Create a Critter", which has a cute sleeping owl, I didn't need Hoot 'n Holler. Trust me, you need it ;)

See, told ya you needed it. How stinkin' cute is this owl?! And there's a whole bunch on the cartridge, each with their own personality. Or is it "owlality"? lol.

I cut my owl at 3" and layered him on a 3 1/4" and 3 1/2" circle mat. The papers are from Cosmo Cricket's "Matilda" 6x6 pad. I just love the patterns!

Speaking of which, I'm also adding this card to Wee Memories' patterned paper challenge this week.

Stop by Cricut Cardz to see what the rest of the DT created and link up your own owl Halloween cards!

Boo!

Hi everyone! It's time for another "This to That Tuesday Challenge" at The Digi Bistro! This week we are creating a card that includes a tag. Have you checked out the "Tag It" set? Perfect for this challenge!

I used Tag #1 twice on this card. I adhered them end to end and threaded my ribbon through the holes, tying a bow.

Isn't that ghost a cutie? He's from the "Pick Your Poison" set. The patterned papers are from Cosmo Cricket's "Matilda" 6x6 pad.

Stop by Cher's Studio to see what the rest of the design team created and link up your own tag cards! :) The prize this week is 2 stamp sets by Making Memories :)

I'm also linking this card up at Wee Memories, My Craft Spot and Celebrate the Occasion!

Have a great night!

The Girls

I finally have some time to catch up on layouts today :) Love Sundays at home!

I started with the latest sketch at My Scraps and More:

I used a photo of the bridesmaids (me), maid of honor, and my best friend from college the bride to be from a get together last winter. I used the Bo Bunny "Winter Joy" collection.

I love the purple and green together.

I'm also entering this layout at Wee Memories for including patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by, hopefully more layouts to come! ;)

Home Sweet Home

Wow! Boy am I dragging this week. I'm SO ready for Friday!

I'm so lucky to come home to a cozy place that I share with  my hubby and puppy. Just what I need after a hectic day, be greeted at the front door, put my feet up and settle in for the night. Oh, and craft ;)

Include the word "home", a embellishment, or a house theme on your paper project. Or, create a home decor item!!

This week's prize is oh, so lovely :)

Paper Lovelies has an awesome kit for this week's winner!

Includes:
My Mind's Eye  "Lucky Me" 130 piece paper/accessories pack,
15 sheets of 12x12 cardstock paper, 115 mix & match accessory pieces, including die cuts, titles, chipboard elements, journaling cards, and transparencies.

I made this sappy little card for my hubby when he goes on a business trip. I used papers from Basic Grey's "Sweet Threads". Lately, I'm addicted to 6x6 pads! :)

Hanging Onto Summer

It felt like fall for the first day so far this year, so chilly this morning. But I'm hanging onto summer and sharing a Hawaii layout I made using this sketch by Heather:

I love using sketches, they're a great starting point for me. I stretched this into 2 pages and titled my photographs on this Hawaii layout:

I think I fell in love with Fancy Pants' "Beach Babe" papers and diecuts. So fun!

I used "root beer float" thickers for my title. Head over to A Walk Down Memory Lane to stock up on these and any American Crafts products at 25% off though September! What a deal!

Thanks for stopping by and to Heather for the use of your sketch :)

Things that go BUMP in the Night!

Good morning! It's time for another Cricut Cardz challenge at Cardz TV! That's right, Cricut Cardz has now merged with Mary's fabulous Cardz TV channel. So, please note this new address so you don't miss a thing ;)

The challenge this week is "Things That Go Bump In The Night!” Make a card for Halloween with the spookiest, scariest image you can find on any cartridge(s), and using any colors you’d like.

I don't have any "spooky" cartridges, but was lucky to have my friend Barbara cut me some of these witches from "Celebrate with Flourish". She's pretty spooky, huh?

I used my Basic Grey Eerie 6x6 pad and printed the sentiment on my computer.

Thanks for stopping by today! Head over Cardz TV and see what the rest of the design team created and enter your spooky cards ;)

Have a great day!

Pick Your Poison!!

That's the latest Halloween file release at The Digi Bistro and it is SO adorable:

PICK YOUR POISON HALLOWEEN SVG

The This to That Tuesday challenge this week is to create a fall easel card - leaves, pumpkins, scarecrows, Halloween you name in it. The cool thing about Cher's challenges is you don't *have* to use her files to enter to win -- although we'd love to see what you create with them!

I used the lil bat on my easel card:

He really is too cute to spook with those mis-matched google eyes ;)

Stop by Cher's Studio to see what the rest of the design team created and enter your card!

I'm also entering this lil guy at Paper Playtime.

Have a great day :)

Today's challenge is:

And I have a sweet prize for you!!

COLLECTION KIT

Echo Park's Apothecary Emporium collection :)

I used the sketch this week at Frosted Designs for my favorite photo layout.

I used the American Crafts' "Campy Trails" line from A Walk Down Memory Lane. American Crafts is one of our featured manufacturers and on sale 25% all month!

I embellished my layout with cuts from the Camping Critters cartridge.

My title was made with American Crafts "Thickers" - also on sale 25% at AWDML! A real steal!

In addition to Frosted Designs, I'm also entering this layout at Get Scrappy for using twine (I used AC fiber) and a cricut cut.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope to see your favorite photos at The Paper Variety this week :)

Basic Grey {{Get Well}}

I'm so thrilled to be joining the A Walk Down Memory Lane store design team to showcase the fabulous products they have to offer and at great prices too ;)

Two of my new favorite lines are Basic Grey's "Sweet Threads" collection and the ridiculously cute "Paper Smooches" stamp sets.

I used both on this card:

The photo doesn't do that lollipop flower justice ;) I used lots of stickles, glimmer mist, and a basic grey brad to dress it up. So elegant, yet so simple.

Supplies:

I'm sharing this card at My Craft Spot (a friendship card) and The Paper Variety's {bonus} challenge to use a favorite manufacturer. I love Basic Grey! ;)
