Quick Quotes: Father's Day Inspiration

* click HERE * to go jump to the BLOG HOP *

Good morning! Today I am sharing my latest Quick Quotes project :)

I'm always looking for masculine project ideas. I find it challenging to make any project without ribbon, flowers, or pink lol! Cards for men are especially difficult. Here's a clean cut, simple idea for you!

I started with a standard size 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" white card base. I cut a one inch stirp from the tall, backside. I cut in 3/4" from the left and right sides, 1 inch down, folding the collar towards the middle. I used the Dreamscape patterned papers for my shirt and tie.

I hand cut the tie and pocket pieces; popping up some of the elements for dimension. I inked around the edges of all my layers with Blue Moon Powder Puff Chalking Ink. I stampe dmy "#1 Dad" sentiment with the same ink.

I hope I've given you an idea for a quick and easy Father's Day card! Happy crafting'!

Furever Friends {blog hop}

Good morning! Welcome to the "Furever Friends" blog hop :)

There are 7 of us participating in the hop; we are a all online scrapbooking friends from the Yahoo group Scrappin N Chattin. SnC is an email forum where we share our love for this hobby, as well as everyday life. Don't be intimidated by the amount of emails that come through our message boards - there are a lot of fun activities, challenges, and prizes - to jumpstart your creativity and keep your scrappin' goals.

One of the giveaways that I host is the "Jackpot". We have a random drawing 4 times a year - where each person sends me $5 to enter. I chose a winner and that person receives a package with scrapbooking product from her wishlist in the amount of the total "jackpot".  :)

Fun right? You can visit our homepage here and join in if you'd like. We love meeting new people!  We also love blog hopping and sharing inspiration we find around the web! For today's hop, we each created a "furry" project. If you know my blog, you know I had to create a layout of my puppy, Jax.

Isn't he so cute.. when he's sleeping! lol! ;) I just LOVE the rich colors in Echo Park's "Woof" mini kit.

You can't go wrong with their patterned papers and cardstock stickers to make a cute and simple page :)

It wouldn't be a blog hop without CANDY! ;)
That's right.. I'm giving away an Echo Park "Woof" mini kit that I used in my layout!

Just become a follower and leave a comment below!
I'll choose a winner on Thursday.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today; hope you visit again soon. Your next stop on the hop is my friend.... KIM at Me-Ma Kim's Place!!

You're My Favorite :)

Hi everyone! I can't believe I had time this week to make a layout ;) Just 1 and a half days of school left!! Wahoo! I don't know who is more excited me or the kids ;) Anyway.. on to the layout! I used a sketch from Boys Rule for this page. I know it's not a boy page, but I just couldn't help but use my new-to-me Echo Park "Country Drive" collection.

I used "stamp school" felt from AWDML with my new MFT "royal rolled rose" flower die to make my flower clusters. I will definitely be making more of these pretties!

I just love these colors together! So happy.

I'm also sharing this layout at My Creative Time's "Happiness" challenge. I don't have an Imagine, but I did use patterned paper ;) Thanks for stopping by!

28 :)

Good evening everyone! Just wanted to share a card I made for a few challenges. It will eventually be a birthday card for a friend ;)

I used "stamp school" felt from AWDML with my new MFT "royal rolled rose" flower die. I like how they turned out, but think I need some practice ;)

I love those soft pinks and yellows together. I'm sharing this card at:

My Craft Spot - what's your age?

Have a great night! :)

June 1st? Really?

I can't believe May is over already. The first of the month means a new challenge at The Paper Variety.. and it's one that will push some of us out of our comfort zone.. lol!

Thats right... create any project that includes paper - but it can't be a layout or card. This challenge's prize is a Crate Paper "Pretty Party".

For this challenge, I embellished a frame for my Mom.

That beautiful "ruffled blossom" is from the Precocious Paper etsy shop. I just love all that bling!! I cut the "mother" title from cardstock using my SCAL program and my cricut.

Thanks for stopping by today! I can't wait to see what you come up with for this challenge. Stop by The Paper Variety to see the rest of the design team inspiration throughout the month and link up your own projects! :)

TGIF! Have a great weekend!

Happy Boy!

Whew! It's been such a busy (last) weekend and week that I haven't been able to make a layout in quite a few days.. felt nice to create with the Artful Delight sketch.. even if I am down to the wire in entering! lol!

This is my BFF's little cutie, Braydon :)

I used My Mind Eye's "Fine and Dandy" patterned paper and chipboard - that I've been saving for a while :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week :)

Good morning ! Today is my day to share a project on the Quick Quotes blog :) This month we are featuring our Powder Puff Chalk Inks! One of my favorite things about these inks is you can customize just about anything to coordinate with your Quick Quotes projects!

Exhibit A ;)

Using my "splat mat", I inked a plain white doily with our Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalk Ink (a MUST have). These inks are the perfect size for easy handling, yet so juicy and rich you can cover A LOT of real estate. Instant transformation!

Now my "Plain Jane" white doily is a all dressed up and a perfect match for the Copper Kettle collection. Right now, I'm hooked on making tags :) I love adding these to gifts, layouts, cards, and well... anything!

I covered my tag with the Copper Kettle 200 patterned paper, inking the edges with the same Mocha Mama ink. I layered my doily in the bottom right corner.

Next, I added my sentiment, fussy cut from the Copper Kettle 500 phrases paper. Bling was the finishing touch to bring this tag together!

What have you altered with inks??

Happy inking!
