{{Blast Into Summer}} Blog Hop!

Good Saturday morning and welcome to the {{Blast Into Summer}} blog hop!!!

Get ready to..

If you are stopping by from Sue's blog - you are in the right place!  If not, you will want to start back at Wendy's so you're sure not to miss a thing.

As a teacher counting down the days ((okay.. hours)) until summer vacation, I am so excited to be a part of this fun hop!

We are celebrating the end of the school year by showing our appreciation to fellow teachers, colleagues, volunteers, students and parents! Well, everyone who touches the lives of children ;)

This is such a busy time of year, so I decided to make a 4 card set of thank you cards to stash in my desk when I need them the next couple days!

I'm so thrilled with how these turned! I've been in a scrapbooking funk - hoping summer was going to turn things around for me. Luckily, this hop inspiration brought it back a few weeks early! :)

I used my favorite DCWV Grade School stack and choose 4 colorful school word patterned papers. I stamped the notebook paper in white and layered an apple on top. I love how those pop off the black!

I used a fine tip red sharpie to pen the outline and tied a green satin ribbon around the card. The "With Appreciation" is a Scrappy Moms Stamp! Love them!  Here is another picture of the set..

I plan on writing a note of appreciation for my principal and PTO at my school, among others. Both have been such a great support system as our district is going through lots of changes!

And now, a blog candy giveaway!! I have a DCWV Grade School mat stack to gift to one lucky follower who leaves a comment :)

You will love the fun, bright and glittery papers in this collection! Perfect for school projects.

Time to {{blast off}} to the next blog -->

You have until tomorrow at midnight EST to complete the hop! Be sure to stop back at Lynda or Wendy's blogs to see the grand prizes.

Remember to become a follower ((if you aren't already!)) and leave a comment for a chance to win my blog candy.

Have a great weekend! :)

These cards are adorable! If I won this DCWV stack I would give it to a teacher I know who is having surgery this summer. What a way to spend your summer vacation huh? I plan to help her with her children a lot and do a lot of scrapbooking with her while she recovers!

Oh Suzy - these are fabulous! I think if i were going to be a teacher, i would teach 1st grade - they are so eager to learn then and starting to read - i think there is nothing so important as teaching a child to read - well one of the most important things anyway :) I am trying to be a follower - i think my computer is slowly dying on me and sometimes it won't let me click on followers unless I get out of everything and back in and cross my fingers and toes - and other times it works fine. Anyway, if you pull my name as the winner, i hope I was able to follow :)
