The Paper Variety's 2nd Challenge!

Last week's sketch challenge was so fun! Thanks to all who played along.

We are all about variety and this week we have a recipe challenge for you. Don't worry it's as easy as ABC! :) Just make sure your project includes these 3 things - autumn colors, a border, and cinema inspiration.

I pulled my autumn colors from Basic Grey's Origins patterned papers - browns, greens, and yellows. Perfect mix for pictures of my sweet Jaxon.

One of Julie Bonner's fabulous sketches brought this page together. I had high hopes of stitching a border around my page, but opted for a simple pen line instead.

My cinema inspiration is the wonderful movie Marley and Me. I printed in on my computer on kraft cardstock, cut into strips and inked in black. I read the book first and this quote really spoke to me, so I used it for my journaling:

“A dog has no use for fancy cars, big homes, or designer clothes. A water log stick will do just fine. A dog doesn't care if you’re rich or poor, clever or dull, smart or dumb. Give him your heart and he'll give you his. How many people can you say that about? How many people can make you feel rare and pure and special? How many people can make you feel extraordinary?– John Grogan, Marley & Me

A few felt dog bone brads were the finishing touch! Thanks so much for stopping by today - I hope you join us at The Paper Variety for this week's challenge! Check out what the rest of the design team created, too, lots of inspiration to get you started : )

I love your layout, it's so beautiful and very inspiring! I love that quote too, It would be great for a picture of my dogs. Hope you don't mind if I borrow it sometime :) The simple pen line around the page looks so good, I never would have thought of it!
